Your First Visit
Report
Your initial consultation with Doctor Van Maren at Bay Area Denture and Surgery Center serves multiple purposes. In addition to giving us an opportunity to get to know you as a new friend, the visit allows your diagnosis and personal treatment plan to be determined. It is an opportunity for you to ask questions about what you may expect from surgery, sedation procedures and solutions to your oral health and general health issues, such as dentures, implants, partials, mouth guards and sleep apnea appliances.
Meet Dr. Van Maren
Report
Recently retired as a Colonel in the United States Air Force, Dr. Dennis Van Maren has practiced dentistry for over 25 years. During his military service, he served as the Commander of three dental clinics and one hospital, providing general and advanced dentistry services to patients of all ages while mentoring and supervising over 40 junior dentists.
Root Canal
Report
Root canal treatment (also called a root canal) is done when decay will likely damage or has already killed a tooth. During root canal or endodontic treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha.
