                    Before the First Visit
                                                                                        Report

Please discuss the positive aspects of dentistry with your child. Convey good feelings about dental visits being a part of growing up. Please avoid using words such as "needles, " "shots, " or "hurt." Please do not threaten your child into brushing his/her teeth in order to avoid getting "drills" or "needles."

                    During the First Visit
                                                                                        Report

Your child will be introduced to our dental team and to the dental environment. We invite you to stay with your child. However, for safety reasons, other children should remain in the reception area. Please do not be upset if your child cries. Children are often afraid of anything new and different, and crying is a normal reaction to that fear.
