Powell and his capable staff have taken care of me and my family for years now. They gave my husband a beautiful smile again since his teeth had been damaged in childhood. Dr. Powell is a dentist in Hickory, NC with a passion for excellence when it comes to comfort and superior results for his patients. With steady hands and his unique set of skills and techniques from over 25 years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Powell has combined his training as a medic in the Green Berets during his time in the service along with his time spent at the UNC Dental School at Chapel Hill where he completed his rotations with honors.

Volunteered to serve. the community of Greenville, NC through the East Carolina University DMD organization. Completed rotations at three community service learning centers in Lumberton, Lillington, and Elizabeth City in order to provide dental care to underserved areas of NC. When first meeting patients, I try to reach them on a personal level to truly understand their motivations and goals. With this information, I can create a personalized plan of what can be done and how best we, as a team, can reach a successful outcome.
