First Visit Expectations

During your first visit, we will give you a tour of our office and get to know you by asking some questions about your medical and oral health history. Please bring a list of any medications you may be taking, their dosages, including all vitamins and supplements. Next, we will perform a comprehensive oral exam that includes a non-invasive oral cancer screening, periodontal probing, charting your existing dental restorations, and x-rays. If time allows and no signs of periodontal disease are present, you will have a routine cleaning after your exam.

Cleaning and Prevention

Keeping a regular preventative maintenance schedule with your hygienist and Dr. Ngo at our practice helps you prevent not only tooth decay and periodontal disease but also avoid costly procedures and extra time in the hygiene chair. A regular home prevention routine usually consists of brushing at least twice a day and flossing at least once per day.
