A regular checkup or examination from Dr. Yee will involve x-rays as well as a physical examination of your mouth. The examination is used to identify any problem areas, which might include tooth decay, gum disease or oral cancer. Some patients require full mouth restorative treatment. Dr. Yee utilizes a combination of various dental restorations to restore the mouth depending on the individual patient's condition.

The youngest of four siblings, Dr. Edwin E. Yee, was born and raised in Leland, Mississippi, where he grew up working in his parent's grocery store. In 1975, he graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. From there he went on to graduate from Birmingham-Southern College with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry, in 1979, from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree, in 1983, Pete Dawson Academy 1992, and completed his Louisiana State University Continuum of Cosmetic Dentistry, Level I, Level II, Level III, in 2002, and his Medical College of Georgia Program of Implantology, in 2005, and numerous other continuing education programs every year.

My 6 year old crown popping off was probably the best thing that could have happened! On a Friday night, I was flossing and my crown popped off. To be honest, I was never satisfied with this crown that ANOTHER dentist had put on. I'd had so many adjustments, that I just finally gave up and dealt with it. Dealt with it not feeling "quite right" and still had some sensitivity/discomfort chewing on that side.
I avoided chewing on that side, and if by accident, I did chew, I was very careful. This is 6 years later even! So, after it popped off on a Friday, I went to see Dr. Yee that following Monday. Dr Yee's staff and hygienist who worked with me were amazing. Dr Yee took my crown (thankfully still intact!), cleaned it, adjusted it to actually fit me correctly (it was way too tight to begin with apparently!), cemented it back in, adjusted it twice and it's been amazing ever since. I am happy to report that I can chew steak and almonds and anything else hard on that side WITHOUT pain or discomfort. Dr Yee. THANK YOU a thousand times.

After trying three different dentists in the last 9 months, ended up with an appointment with Dr. Yee yesterday. What a welcome change! My dental tech was absolutely fabulous - professional and friendly, explaining everything she did. Dr. Yee came in and again, professional and friendly. Two of the other offices I visited were like factories! While their staffs were friendly enough, it was on a different level - less personal and more about money, it felt like. I'm pretty sure I have finally found my new dentist, Dr. Yee and his wonderful staff!

Dr Yee and his entire staff are absolutely wonderful! I have had ALOT of dental work done over the years by MANY doctors and Dr Yee is by far the best I've ever been to. You can tell he truly loves his job and appreciates his staff. Like someone else said, I actually look forward to going to the Dentist and that's a huge change for me!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Yee yesterday & now I understand all the positive reviews! Both Dr. Yee & my hygienist, Taylor, were super sweet & helpful, especially with my nerves. They make a real effort to know their patients & kindly explain dental procedures & needs. Thank you both! I actually can't wait for my next appointment, & I NEVER thought I'd say that about the dentist!

Well I'm fuming. This review is not directed towards other people considering using this business, but is more a constructive review for the staff, who reflect upon Dr Yee. People, y'all need to better handle other peoples' children in this pandemic. Walk the twenty feet to come talk to a parent or guardian, especially when a child is forced to go in alone, and agree on what is being done.
I don't care if you think it's just a cleaning, because the receptionist got it wrong today, I don't know what happened on her end, she may have been distracted when I phoned earlier or the persons with whom the appointment was initially scheduled had the procedure wrong. You should especially talk to the adult if you don't plan on reading the paperwork or it gets misplaced. Also, a child shouldn't have to cross the parking lot alone.
My child said you were kind and I will give you that, but not even confirming the birth date? At least call the parent sitting there in the parking lot. Read the paperwork and history before doing anything; that's what it's there for! At the very least if you realized you were missing something, you could have called me to let me know the change in plan and tell me you needed xrays.
I'm thankful that nothing worse happened except me wasting my time and you being down a payment should your charges not be covered by my insurance. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my concern.
