Shannon was born and raised in southwest Florida and moved to the Nashville area in 2020.

Board-certified periodontist, Dr. Jason T. Primm, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2006. He went on to complete a rigorous three-year surgical residency program at the UTHSC, where he earned his master's of dental science in periodontology from the University of Tennessee.
