Services
Infant Dental Exams
Our infant dental exams focus on establishing early oral health foundations through knee-to-knee examinations while children sit comfortably with parents. We assess dental development, provide feeding guidance, and address parental concerns about oral hygiene. The visits include education on proper oral care routines and early detection of potential issues.
Preventative Dentistry
Our preventative services include professional cleanings, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants to protect against cavities. Digital X-rays help monitor development and detect hidden issues. We educate families on home care practices and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining optimal oral health between visits.
Restorative Dentistry
We offer cosmetic dental crowns and fillings for damaged teeth using child-friendly materials. Our sedation options ensure comfort during procedures. The restorative process focuses on preserving natural teeth structure while creating positive associations with dental care through gentle, patient-centered approaches.
Special Needs Dentistry
Our team provides tailored dental care for children with autism, Down syndrome, and other special needs. We allocate extra time for appointments, use specialized communication techniques, and create sensory-friendly environments. The approach emphasizes building trust and making dental visits comfortable through consistent, compassionate care.
Hospital Dentistry
For extensive treatments requiring general anesthesia, our hospital dentistry service offers comprehensive care in a controlled environment. Our dentists have hospital privileges to treat young children and special needs patients needing multiple procedures, ensuring thorough care while minimizing stress during complex treatments.

Questions
When should my child have their first dental exam?
We recommend the first visit when the first tooth appears or by age one. Early exams establish good oral health habits and detect potential issues early.
Do you treat children with special needs?
Yes, we specialize in special needs dentistry with experienced providers and dedicated appointment times to accommodate individual requirements for children with autism, Down syndrome, and other conditions.
What sedation options are available?
We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for anxious children. Our team closely monitors patients throughout procedures to ensure safety while maintaining conscious sedation for cooperation.
How do you make dental visits less stressful for children?
Our child-friendly facility includes a playroom, and our team uses positive reinforcement techniques. We explain procedures in child-friendly terms and allow parents to stay with children during visits.
What happens during a preventative dental cleaning?
Cleanings include plaque removal, fluoride treatment, and oral hygiene education. Our staff uses gentle techniques while teaching children about proper brushing and flossing habits.
How do you handle dental emergencies?
We provide urgent care for knocked-out teeth, dental abscesses, and mouth trauma. Call our office immediately for guidance on preserving teeth and scheduling emergency appointments.

Love Dr. Greg and Dr. Rachel. We've been at the practice for 5yrs now and we've been happy with every visit. The play area while the kids wait is a parents dream! The staff are so kind and good with the kids. We were able to do annual visits up to 3yrs old just to get the kids used to the dentist. Not full cleanings but little visits where my boys could sit in my lap and the dentist just looked things over.

That way we made sure there were no budding problems and the boys got used to the setting and having instruments (mirror) in their mouths. Now 6yrs and 3yrs and they can go back completely independent while I sit up front. We haven't experienced the need for any invasive services at this point so I can't comment on how aggressive they might be in their approach to things of that nature.

If I could rate this dentist office a 10 I would! We traveled almost 200 miles for this appointment and they didn't disappoint us one bit. I wish I would have switched my kids over here a long time ago. Thank you so much to Dr Greg and his staff. My kids can't stop talking about how much they loved being there today and how funny their dentist was.

I love Big Grins! They are fast, friendly, and really work hard to make sure that the kids know and understand what procedures they are going to perform. We just came back from getting fillings with no tears! I also appreciate their up-front billing, I always know exactly what it will cost ad I am never surprised by a bill. We have been patients for 6 years and wouldn't go anywhere else!

Everyone at Big Grin's made our experience so wonderful! This was my son's first visit to the dentist and he was very nervous. Everyone made him feel safe and they made the experience so great for him! They went above and beyond what I expected from a dentist office. He was even given a stuffed dog that looks just like their office dog "Sugar". He hasn't put it down since we got home! Thank you so much Big Grin's!

Amazing 1st time dentist visit for my kids! All the local moms groups recommend Dr. Greg at Big Grins and I absolutely see why! It was my son and daughter's 1st time to the dentist and I was worried it would be a scary or painful experience and it was the opposite. Both my kids are still talking about how much they enjoyed having their teeth "tickled" by the metal instruments. Beverly was wonderful on the phone for the multiple times I had to reschedule (colds and covid scare), the dental assistant (I feel horrible i don't remember her name bc she was amazing with my kids) was sweet and calm and explained everything to them and myself and then Dr. Greg was wonderful with the kids. Informative, helpful, gentle and understands how kids need to have their teeth looked at in a safe, calm environment in order to not create a fear of the dentist like their mom has. Big Grins is amazing and if you're looking for a dentist, I can not recommend this place enough.
