Redwood Endodontics We combine technology with our training and years of experience to ensure that you will receive the best care possible. Not only do we employ the latest technology in our office, but we are in a multi-specialty building with the other five major dental specialties all occupying the same building. We always work closely with the referring general dentist, who oversees the patients overall treatment plan and long term dental care, however, sometimes upon consulting with the dentist, it is determined that the patient should have a consultation/evaluation from another specialist.

Procedures
Report
A root canal procedure is used to save an abscessed tooth by removing the dental pulp (nerve) after the tooth is dead or has had the pulp exposed due to cavities or fractures. After the pulp is removed and any infection has been resolved, the hollow area left behind after the nerve is removed is filled in with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha.
Post Op Instructions
Report
Do not eat anything on the side on your mouth that received treatment until the numbness wears off. This will prevent you from biting your cheek or tongue. If the opening in your tooth was restored with a temporary filling material, it is not unusual for a thin layer to wear off in-between appointments.

Insurance Options
Report
We treat patients with many different insurances other than these listed, but are only signed up as "Preferred" with the above. Even though we may not be "Preferred" on your insurance, in most cases it is still possible to have treatment done at our office. Please contact Crissy, Beth or DeAnna to discuss your particular insurance with them.
