The best dental office I've been to. Front desk is very friendly, they send you a reminder via text and work with you to ensure they find an appt that fits your schedule. Once you get to the office, everyone is very friendly, they have specific steps/measures for COVID, hand sanitizer/clean pens/hand washing/etc. to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Even the doctor is very comical/kind/and definitely wants you to improve your dental health. He does NOT push you to get procedures. He speaks to you so that you can improve your dental routine and provides recommendations on how to do that. Couple things I appreciate are: The doctor takes good notes, so when you go back for cleaning/visit, he reviews the concerns/topics he had I had in the last visit.

And update me on what he thinks during the current visit. He is VERY communicative and makes sure you understand what you need to do to prevent unnecessary procedures. Lets you SEE what/where there are issues so you aren't always blindly sitting in the chair. He shows you where certain areas needs more TLC. I really appreciate the concern they have for each of their patient and always wanting to promote preventative wellness than pushing for unnecessary procedures.

Dr. Thomas Han, Part of WPD (dental) he truly cares about your dental needs and also is more than trustworthy. Let me start by saying he was a professor at UCLA and now USC for some time. So he essentially had taught every dentist in La. my father also has a dental lab so even though he has no affiliation people amongst the dental world talk. Dr. Thomas Han is known for knowledge and expertise.

The time and input he puts is more than most dentist. He gives real applicable reasons in the effects of your teeth. I went to couple dentist before him and every dentist before him said similar things about my wisdom teeth, but his reasoning and attention to the "WHY" is what stands out. Oral care is important shouldn't the doctor who is looking at who explain and show the care also? That's why I went to Dr. Han. Hope this post helps whoever sees it.

A great dentist understands that a patient needs to feel in control of his or her treatment. Honesty and Compassion: A good dentist is also honest and compassionate. Dentists educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment and preventative care. Being able to explain technical information is part of the job. This is what Dr. Thomas Han is! Great dentist and teacher at USC and UCLA

Honestly the best dentist I've ever encountered and an amazingly friendly staff. Everyone here really cares about your dental hygiene and keeping your teeth in the best condition possible. The dentist will crack a few jokes while make sure your are comfortable during the whole process. You can tell this dental team has a great work environment, they all help one another. Did I mention you will have an amazing view no matter where they place you in this office!

The staff will send you text and a quick voicemail to remind you when your appointment is, as well as give you a parking validation. If you have sensitive teeth the dentist will work with, and educate you on how to properly take care of your teeth.

Do not go here. It's a very shady place. I went there twice because I couldn't find time to go visit my regular dentist, my sister. This place insisted on taking panoramic x-ray both times, which is expensive, when I went in for a simple cleaning. They also insist on doing implants on my perfectly fine teeth. If I didn't have my sister to stop me, I would've been fooled in to getting my teeth taken out! They also tried to over charge both times I went. Do not go here.

I am a physician and a busy mom of three. Thursday my tooth started aching intermittently, by Friday night I was up all night in excruciating pain. I consider myself very lucky to have found my way to Wilshire Park dental. From the front desk, to dental assistant, to doctor I was treated promptly, with kindness and compassion. Doctor Hannah Misook Hong is a consummate professional.

In addition to being highly skilled and thorough, her demeanor is serene. I felt so comfortable under her care, I even took a nap during my root canal. Update: multiple visits, all of them have been great experiences.

I've been going to Wilshire park dental for a few years and I've always been so impressed by how friendly and genuinely nice their staff is + the doctors and hygienist never make you wait more than a few minutes These guys have turned going to the dentist from a miserable experience to one I look forward to every 6 months. 10 stars if I could

I had billing issues with them before for incorrectly charging me or billing the insurance company incorrectly but this time they bill the insurance company twice for the same service a week apart. The second charge I wasn't event at the the dentist office. So when they cancelled my appointments for the end of year and I went to another dentist their claim got denied. Their admin department went down hill they don't know how to schedule or bill. I suggest going over your billing with a fine tooth comb.

Dentists here are one of the best that is complimented by highly sought hygienist whom after a teeth cleaning, gives a goody bag filled with all sorts of goodness for the teeth. Modern interior decor mixed with a great front and back staff truly makes visiting the dentist a different experience. If and once there is a dental plan, a staff thoroughly explains costs, procedures, and if any, alternate treatment plans accompanied by a breathtaking view of the famous Hollywood Sign. Need I say more? For anyone who doesn't want to drive through the infamous LA traffic, this office is a 5 minute walk from the Wilshire/Western Metro.

They run a very shady practice here. They lie to your face and tell you that your insurance doesn't cover a procedure, and then over charge you to pay out of pocket. Then without telling you, they file an insurance claim. After finding out what they did, I called them to give me the difference back of what I overpaid. It has been two months now and they still have not sent me the check that they promised multiple times to mail out to me.

Avoid this place at all costs. They do not care about their patients and only try to cheat them out of their money. I will be reporting them to the BBB and the California Department of Insurance for fraud.

WPD runs a shady practice and here is why. 1) DR. Hong at WPD works like she just graduated from college. Her text book style approach (negligence) had cost me over $1000 and left me with two sensitive teeth which were improperly diagnosed and mistreated. 2) Dr. Hong had also improperly diagnosed my gum and recommended that I go see a specialist, Dr. Han (periodontal), in the same office.

But It turns out, I just needed to take extra care of the trouble areas. Now I am wondering if the SRP (Scaling and root planning) that they performed was done properly. Or perhaps she just wanted to milk me for more money, who knows. 3) The people work in the front desk do not know how to write proper notes. The front desk called me total of four times and had to ask me again and again and again why I wanted to see Dr. Hong after the treatment. 4) The front desk told me that my sensitivity (pain) was caused by cavity. However, the doctor never used the word cavity during the (second) examination.

They called me few days later, after having an unpleasant conversation, corrected their statement and told me that my problem was not related to cavity. 5) The front desk yet again made up more stories and told me that the sensitivity on my tooth is yet another reason why I needed to go see a periodontal. I told him that that is not what the doctor stated and yet again he later retracted his statement.

Bottom line. WPD had lost my trust and Dr. Hong not only failed as dentist but most importantly she failed as a doctor. If you are a WPD patient, you should always get a second opinion. Also, watch out for their tiny room where they try to extort money from you. You might have magically developed a condition that you have never knew about. ------------------- 2/9/2018 "We agreed that it was best for you to get a second opinion and recommended to get a complimentary consultation with our Periodontist (gum specialist) which you did not take." -- from C L. of Wpd Dental Group -- LOL.

I cannot believe that you even tried to respond to my review. Why will I want to see the periodontist in your office, when I have caught you people with lying and negligence?

I have been trying to post a review for this amazing organization for months now but can't seem to find the words that will perfectly capture the real essence of WPD. Dr. Joseph Hahn is wonderful! He is very funny and very attentive. He listens to what you want and gives his recommendation according to what you want. It's always a blast coming to see him and his staff because they're always so cheerful. Dr.

Gene Park is very sweet. He's not as talkative as Dr. Hahn but he is very charming and polite. He did my implant surgery and he always made the effort to explain to me exactly what's going on. Margie is their hygienist and she's truly amazing! I have an appointment with her every few months and she's just as attentive and invested in you as a person.

She gives me a goodie bag every visit and tells me ways to better improve my mouth hygiene. Stella & Jazmine are so lovable! They have been taking care of me for the past 5~6 years. They are very caring and takes the time to get to know you. One of the best front desk personnel I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their assistants are great as well!

They make sure you comfortable every single time. They keep the place clean & they have awesome views. The office is very modern. A lot of people are scared to go to the dentist but this place makes you forget you're about to see your dentist. I have never had a bad experience here because they know how to put you at ease while making sure that every thing you want or need to be done is done.

I have inlay for $675 on the left 5th upper tooth with Dr. Jay and it broke less than 1 year and Dr. Julie Kim (she is also no longer there), tried to repaired it 2 times with composite which was temporarily and out of coverage. I assumed they didn't guarantee their work because I have to pay again for the crown for $675? so I ended up go another Doctor before my tooth root die. if the situation was prolong so I went to Dr. Hala (So. Pasadena) she did wonderful job save my tooth not to the point of root canal.

Do not go to this doctors seriously, a physician referred me because he likes the doctor who did implant his name Dr. Sung and the other doctor already retired and active in Christian ministry used to teach at Lomalinda university. Both of the doctors no longer there. Perhaps, this information useful for you.

Can I just preface my main review by stating how AMAZINGLY AWESOME the Dentist and staff are at Wilshire Park Dental Group are! I went to Wilshire Park Dental Group because of a filling that had fallen out. I've had bad experiences with dentist in the past, and tried to avoid them as much as possible. I happened to find Wp Dental Group on Google Maps of all places, I live in Korea Town and they were the closest.

I am soooooo glad that I went to them! I called to make the appointment, and was not expecting a same day appointment, but I got one. The receptionist was so nice and professional on the phone, especially when I told her that I was expecting (5 months pregnant). She got all my information over the phone (insurance, dr.'s name and phone etc.) and was able to get me in two hours after my initial call.

When I arrived at the dentist office, the receptionist, Jasmine, was just the nicest and sweetest person! I mean, I'm used to receptionist being very abrupt and not too friendly, but Jasmine was a refreshing change, and she made my wait (which was only about 5-10 minutes) so relaxing and fun. I met with Dr. Hannah Hong, and she was another amazing surprise.

She treated me with care and explained in detail what needed to be done. Turns out I needed a root canal and a crown. Upon hearing "root canal" I had visions of extreme pain and torture, but Dr. Hong and her assistant Grace, were able to calm my fears. Since I am pregnant, there are certain pain killer that I can't take, and of course, limited x-ray's. Dr. Hong and Grace were very cognizant of this, and took extra care with my treatment.

I never felt an ounce of pain during my treatment, well maybe a slight pinch when Dr. Hong administered the numbing agent, but other than that, no pain what so ever. Because it was a root canal and a crown, I had to go back two additional times, and I looked forward to each appointment, because I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Hong. After each appointment the Office Manager, Misty, would meet with me to see how the appointment went and talk to me about my next appointment. Misty takes customer service to a whole other level.

She has a caring and calming demeanor about her, that makes you feel you are talking to someone that really cares about you. I know that WpD will be my dentist for life. They are truly the absolute best, and I can't wait to go back after my little one is born for my deep cleaning.

I just had a filling done here today and everything went great. Dr. Joseph Hahn was very professional while being attentive and understanding of my fear of dentists. He did a great job! I'm planning to come back to him for all my future dental needs.

I've done two implants here. Dr. Thomas Han (who was highly recommend to me by another doctor) is a Periodontics and he did the surgery for me, and Dr. Joseph Hahn is a Prosthodontics and he did the crowns for me. First, I was assigned to another Prosthodontics doctor and I was extremely dissatisfied with him as I had to go to the office every single week to fix my temporary crown as it kept on breaking (once the office even charged me for replacing it so often as if it was my fault.) Then I requested to change the doctor to Dr. Joseph Hahn and I'm glad I did.

His temp crowns never broke. Dr. Joseph Hahn is very knowledgeable and really cares about his client's satisfaction, he makes sure to deliver top notch results. He even polished my other teeth so they look nice (at no extra cost for me.) I'm extremely satisfied with the result. The service is exceptional, the front desk is very friendly and accommodating.

I first found this dental office because it was covered by my insurance provided by a previous employer and was saddened that I could no longer go when part time benefits were cut. Thankfully, I became eligible for insurance though my current provider and I made sure I chose the option that was accepted by WPD Dental Group. The staff are friendly, happy to help and never fail to smile.

My bi-annual cleanings with Grace are done with care and comfort and should anything be behind schedule, the delay is always short and the staff politely keeps me informed and offer whatever I might need to be kept content in the mean time. The office is bright and clean, their equipment is top of the line and they even provide complimentary water and coffee as well as validation. 10/10 Would have then scrape gunk off my teeth again : D

I'm rather surprised by the negative ratings this place has gotten, because I've had nothing but positive experiences here. Just had two different visits for taking out my wisdom teeth with Dr. Joseph Hahn, and I'd definitely recommend him & the staff to everyone - Dr. Hahn is extremely kind & professional yet makes you feel at ease with his friendly personality.

Furthermore everyone from the front desk staff to the nurses / assisting doctors are all really nice and caring, and the facilities itself are clean and beautiful. Even though I'm still scared to go to the dentist (because let's face it, who isn't?) - wpd helps calm me down and feel better about the visits - definitely would recommend going here!

Super professional. Everyone is kind and let's you know the process. They speak in both doctor-language & patient-language which helps understand the science and the meaning. They even gave me a follow-up call! I highly recommend.

Staff and dentists are nice. The only to be aware is their billing system. Be careful when you get the Billing Statement! Dont pay whatever amount they asked with the due date without double checking with your insurance company. WPD bill you the full amount to patient even before billing to the insurance company(I called insurance company to inquire the claim, and they said they NEVER got the claim! ). Aren"t they supposed to bill the insurance company first, and bill the amount that the patient is really responsible for later?

When I called WPD to complain, the receptionist put me on hold, then later she tells me "the person who is in charge of billing says the claim has been sent." I asked, when? Then says wait a call back from her. Didnt get a call back today, and I will see if she calls me back tomorrow. I even had root canal done here few years ago that ended up being extracted 1-2 yrs later.

They said it can happen to anybody, not their job was done poorly, and I need to have Implant. I stopped going here since then. --------- Next Day--------- I called the insurance company. They say the claim has just been submitted this morning. I asked if its legal to bill patient upfront and try to reimburse after they receive payment from insurance company. YES- its O.K.

Nothing wrong with that. I didnt have to assume its illegal and get upset. However, in this claim, she said the annual cleaning is 100% covered and I do not need to pay anything after all. So. Why should I pay first, wait and call to request reimburse me when I dont need to pay anything? Don't want to waste my energy in unnecessary/inconvenient billing system. I rather pick other dentist who bill later with amount that patient is ACTUALLY responsible for.

I'm a dentist myself, and one of the few dentists I trust to work on my own teeth (since I can't work on myself) is Dr. Misook Hong. Not only is she gentle, kind, and funny, she produces excellent results. I've had some gaps in my front teeth for some time and I was self-conscious of them. I finally got them fixed by Dr. Hong and I couldn't be happier. I feel more confident when I speak and smile. Thanks, Dr. Hong! You're the best!

I am writing this review specifically b/c I feel these guys have been given a black eye by some of these negative reviews & I really don't think that's fair (not from my experiences with them anyway). I live in Atlanta, GA and have been coming to this dental group for the past couple of years continually b/c I have trusted their expertise, professionalism, courtesy, and experience time after time after time after time.

Their prices are about half what I was quoted and paid in Atlanta, GA so making the tripS to them from Atlanta, GA has been worthwhile for me. Frankly speaking, they have performed some work that other dentists I have gone to (several in Korea, one in Georgia, 2 in California) have not been able to treat successfully. My effin tooth cap kept coming lose and falling off which started to become an annoying annual expense for me. WPD Dental Group fixed that problem with their expertise and I have no complaints (and it's been over 3 years now!) The work I had performed here ranged from root canal retreatment, implant, wisdom teeth extraction to teeth cleaning.

I really like the staff and think a few really stand out so I'm writing this review as my way of thanking them. Much gratitude to Stella, Misty, Komi, Dr. Jae Y. Lee (5 stars), and Dr. Young Seok (5 stars, but no longer there =( I recommend them highly and thank you WPD Dental Group for taking care of my teeth! Cheers and have a positive day.
