At our office, we ensure that patients receive the most advanced cosmetic and restorative dental care. Our office regularly attends seminars and conferences devoted to new treatments, new technologies and excellent patient care practices. With patient care as our top priority, this is our commitment to you. Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and appreciate your cooperation.

At Long Island Smile, over 20 years of experience has helped us assemble a caring group of professionals who stress the importance of better oral health and patient satisfaction. With a staff that consists of experienced hygienists, dental assistants and front desk personnel we continue to provide a comprehensive approach to preventative, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Look to our knowledgeable professionals for questions regarding patient care, oral health, payment options, and Smile Design.

Scheduling professional dental cleanings with our hygienist is an important aspect of your oral health. Semi-annual cleanings are just as important to your oral health as is brushing daily and flossing. The plaque and calculus removal that you receive during your cleaning can not be achieved at home. Remove any plaque build-up along the rim of your teeth and gums and on the surfaces. Plaque forms naturally from saliva and food particles. It is filled with bacteria. As plaque collects on your teeth, if not brushed away, it will cause decay, gum disease, and gingivitis.

Dr. Jack Gruber is limited to periodontics, and who has practiced on Long Island for 30 years. One of the pioneers in periodontal practice in Nassau County, he sold his successful practice to pursue his love for teaching and is currently on the faculty at North Shore University Hospital, where he helps train young dentists. Fortunately for us, in addition to his academic commitment, Dr. Gruber has remained in private practice and works exclusively with only a select few dental offices. Our patients and our staff benefit from his expertise and skill.

At Long Island Smile, we have over 25 years of knowledge, experience and continuing education in restorative dentistry. We can enhance and restore the health of your teeth with implant restorations, crowns, bridges, endodontics (root canals), full and partial dentures, extractions, periodontal surgery, and the most advanced filling techniques. Also, we pride ourselves in our restorative dentist's knowledge of occlusion and advanced restorative techniques. We are currently one of the only dental offices in the New York metropolitan area to use the T-ScanŽ computerized bite analysis system.

Our Dental Receptionists and Office Manager will help you to schedule appointments, complete necessary paperwork, and answer any billing questions that you may have. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and we ask the same courtesy from your family. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately, giving a minimum of 48 hour notice to avoid any missed appointment fees. We realize that unexpected illnesses and emergencies may occur, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.

At Long Island Smile, we think cosmetic dentistry is all about making you look and feel your very best. We offer the latest technology in Smile Design and believe in an individualized approach to cosmetic dentistry. During your consultation, Drs. Seltzer and Rein will help you determine which procedures will maximize your smile's potential. No one wants to go through life with an imperfect smile. Damage to teeth happens fairly frequently, and the teeth that are most frequently damaged by physical trauma are the anterior, or front, teeth.

Since 1984, our comprehensive approach to preventive dentistry has focused on the health, well-being and satisfaction of our patients. Our practice has grown over the years based on good old fashioned care for our patients. From the initial consult to the long term relationships we build with our patients, a deep sense of caring and responsibility for your overall dental health is our goal.
