Dr. Sean E. Patrick was born in Iwakuni, Japan. He was reared in a military home and completed high school at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He attended Appalachian State University where he earned a degree in Biology. After he met and married his wife, Katie, they moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where Dr. Patrick attended the University of North Carolina Dental School on a full academic scholarship awarded by the United States Navy.
