Dr. Harvey received his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, having played football for the Golden Gophers. He was a teammate of Tony Dungy Go Colts! and was named First Team All Big Ten Academic his senior year. He then graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1981, receiving his certificate in Periodontics and Masters Degree in 1983.
