The Dental Touch

Been coming here for years and years. I love my dentist office! The people who work here are great! Dr. Prat is unfailingly cheerful and calm, always very patient and has a great sense of humor. He is wonderful at his job. He does most any type of dental 'work. I've had multiple root canals and believe it or not, not one has ever hurt!. Only one drawback for me: he's very expensive so you better have plenty of money and/or insurance!

First time visitor and was treated with patience, kindness - I'm in my fourties, and this is the best dental experience I've had.

My son loves coming to the Dentist! He loves seeing Dr Prat or Dr Romero theyre both great with childern. The assistant Vinh and front Desk Rob and Trish are always so excited to see my son which makes him excited.

Great place, friendly staff, I liked that I could watch Netflix while I waited in the chair for the nitrous to become available for my wisdom teeth extractions. The staff are experienced and knowledgeable; the only feedback I would give is for a more gentle hand when numbing. My dentist got the numbing done fast, but it felt a bit rough. I was nervous going in, never having had teeth pulled before, and even though the numbing was a little harsh, the overall experience was good and much less scary than I anticipated.

Friendly staff, highly skilled dentists with vast experience and warm engaging personalities. Genuinely concerned about my current dental health as well as how they can help me with the long term maintenance and retention of my teeth. Also took extra care to ensure I was comfortable and pain free throughout my dental visit. Definitely a 5 Star experience!

Dr Prat is the best. Patient kind and professional! I will definitely recommend the clinic.

I had my first appointment here and everyone was very friendly and nice. However I thought I would get a teeth cleaning and was told after they took my photos and X-rays and scans that they didn't have time and that I would have to make another appointment! Stay tuned.

I needed a broken wisdom tooth removed a while back and it was an emergency and on a Saturday. They were the only place I could find that would take a drop in and and had reasonable pricing. The extraction was $300 and a fraction of what others charge. Great price, drop in/short notice, great work and friendly staff. Thank you.

I've seen Dentist Dr Prat here and there over the years. Reliable, office fully staffed to take care of any need that arises. Reasonable fees. Long lasting work. Our neighborhood Dentist.

Good visit. My cleaning was painless. And the staff is always friendly and professional. Don't think my dentist and I agreed on the urgency of braces. But, we had a constructive conversation about it.

Wonderful place! The staff was friendly and professional. The dentist did a great job, and I was impressed that they take 3d images of your teeth in addition to x-rays so they can track any changes to your teeth or gums. I expected to have a long and uncomfortable appointment but it was not bad at all. I'll be going to this dentist from now on.

I have extremely high anxiety when dealing with or even thinking about the dentist. I am so very thankful for the amazing staff and dentists that work here. They are kind and compassionate and very thoughtful. They took their time with me as I sat in the chair and cried because I was so afraid. I will definitely use their services again and again.because I waited to long to go back to the dentist.

Another set of experiences from Dr. Pratt, Dr. Mandy, and the expert, kind staff at the Dental Touch that's left me feeling seen and cared for. I need a lot of work, but I don't feel judged here. It's a big deal for me. As a person of color with not a lot of money to throw around, I'm accustomed to being treated as "less than". You kind of develop an exoskeleton to protect yourself, you know?

But here again, I feel as important as anyone else, regardless of means or skin color. Thank you all for a genuinely inclusive experience, and for your expert care. I love my dental staff.

From start to finish, this is such a great dental office! All of the staff members are friendly, they explain everything in detail (even after you are finished with your appointment). So happy I found this office. Dr. Romero is amazing and such a kind person and wonderful dentist! I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

I suggest caution with their billing practices. The front office woman is not pleasant.

DO NOT choose this place. One word - DECEPTION! They charged me TWICE when I checked my bank account. It was ONLY when I called them about it did they give me the LAME EXCUSE that they ACCIDENTALLY charged me twice. UH HUH!.RIIIIIIGHTTT! Had I not called them, I would have been ROBBED. Funny how this office didn't even bother to call me to let me know that they had charged me TWICE.

Now let's use some common sense here. who is responsible to let me know that they "accidentally" charged me TWICE. THEM or me? Apparently it was up to me to find this "error". BUSTED! I will be reporting this for their dishonesty. One thing I hate the most is DECEPTION AND DISHONESTY.

This practice is great! The staff are all very friendly and they treat you with the utmost respect. I was impressed with the additional amenities (tv with Netflix in the waiting room AND in the room while you're getting your teeth worked on). I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or family member.

The Dental Touch on Piedmont Ave. in Oakland is the very best dental practice my family and I have ever been to -- and that's saying a lot, as my two daughters are almost grown, and we have lived in five cities. First and foremost, they do top notch dental work. That is most important, of course. I have also been at practices where unnecessary work is recommended, and done, in order to make a buck.

Not at The Dental Touch. I've seen how that game is played, and they just don't play it at TDT. Also, on at least three occasions, we've been charged $0 for a visit, even when they had to use disposable equipment to check something out. And finally, the cherry on top is that the staff is *extremely* friendly and supportive. You will be glad you chose them!

Dr. Pratt has been taking care of my families dental needs for the last 15 years. He is very personable and knowledgeable about his profession.

I was having a bad experience with another dentist office yesterday as I was waiting there I called the dental touch to make an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed. They got me in the same day for a consultation and my appointment was set today May 8th to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I was in and out of my consultation in 30 minuets and was informed on what will be done. The staff there is great especially the ladies at the front desk. I will right another review after my treatment

The Dental Touch is by far the best practice in the Bay Area. Dr. Pratt and Dr. Wu are both amazing dentists that take away that ill feeling of being at the dentist! The whole staff is amazing and sweet! I recommend everyone to go here!

One of the worst dentists ever( I even Doubt he actually had a dentist degree). He did something in my mouth that left me with a hole in my gum, food was coming out of my nose, infection. I was in so much pain for about two months. I could not work or eat food without discomfort. I ended up in ER and spent a lot of money just to fix what he did. He did not only fix that he took me to court. Do Not Go to this Place. Or you pay with your life

Very nice dental office. Modern, clean, and aesthetically comfortable place to be. The staff is super friendly making the initial encounter pleasant. Dr Prat's calm demeanor keeps the stress at bay allowing for a relaxed conversation. He took care of my problem, and his recommendation for a routine cleaning was great fully appreciated and accepted. I look forward to going back.

Excellent place to get your teeth cleaned and fixed! The office staff is extremely friendly and professional. The rooms have Netflix so you can choose what to watch, and this is while you lie on the massage chairs as they work on your teeth. Dr. Wu has to be one of the best dentist in the Bay Area, she thoroughly explains what she is about to do before she works on your teeth. I'm a big wimp when it comes to pain, especially when I hear the drilling noise start.

She gave me an extra injection to numb my mouth before working on it to make sure I wouldn't feel anything. The front office staff is awesome, especially Noelia, I forgot my HSA card on my appointment day and she allowed me to come back with it to use my pre-tax dollars. Parking in the back and they are open on Saturday! Thanks Dr. Wu for my cleaning my teeth and filling my cavities! Now I can drink cold water again without the pain

It starts with the wonderful staff. Everyone is courteous to make your visit pleasant. They get your paperwork in order for insurance and everything sails through on payment. The rates seems on par with other dentists my family visits. Dr Pratt is friendly, has up to date equipment and thoroughly explains his findings and recommendations. There's never pressure to get it done now.

Want to go get another estimate? Go ahead. He'll graciously be available when you return. Again, his prices are fair, his work I've had no complaints with. FYI, he did a denture replacement for my mother in law that was perfect. This lady had been to many other dentists and they couldn't get the fitting just right. Well Dr Pratt made her happy beyond belief. I'm fairly picky and tough on my reviews.

I recommend Dr Pratt's office. If you have a complaint he seems like the honorable person to work with you too. Happy smiles. Update review: Followup required appt was outstanding. Installed cap. Dr Pratt fit and polished the cap perfectly! Again, everyone here is smiling, happy and asks how's your day. I've even convinced my father to switch to Dr Pratt and he is so pleased.

Dr. Prat and Dr. Wu (i.e The Dental Touch) are the most unprofessional dentists I have ever encountered. They informed me that I was covered by my insurance and than six months later they sent me a bill for $900.00. They also are not committed to giving their patients the best service. They made a commitment to my husband and they never follow though with the process. I have informed Dental Touch to close my file. I refused to go back to them. They are unreliable and unprofessional.

This dental office is killer. They have parking in the back, which is incredibly convenient. The staff are super friendly, even on a Saturday morning (yes they're open on Saturdays!). Also, the office itself is very clean and upscale. They have some very nice top of the line equipment that I'd never seen before. Dr. Wu was very understanding about the issue I was having with my molar, and she was able to resolve it quickly but without rushing.

While their operation is very efficient (taking an X-Ray before seeing the dentist), I felt like Dr. Wu was willing to give me all the time I needed to get the issue resolved to my satisfaction. I would definitely come back here and am considering making them my primary provider.
