Our family started a tradition of serving the Shelton community in 1978, when Bob and Alice began Hackney Family Dentistry. Dr. Bob Hackney attended Washington State University at Pullman and Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in Maryland. From the beginning of his career, he continually stayed on top of the advances in dental care.

At your first visit expect to spend about an hour with us so that we can get to know you, and so that we can make you a plan that best fits your dental needs. We will take the time to address your dental concerns and explain treatment options, both for emergent dental needs and comprehensive dental care plans.

Children’s Dentistry

Kids can expect a dental visit with us to be comfortable, and even fun! We create a non-intimidating environment in which our friendly staff prepares kids for all the steps of their visit. We offer complimentary nitrous oxide to help kids relax. Our use of modern digital x-rays means that we can quickly take images of even the smallest mouths and gain valuable diagnostic information to conservatively plan treatment. You'll often find that your kids have a totally different dental experience that you did as a kid.
