All About Braces
Report
Thanks to today's advances in orthodontic technology, Bock Orthodontics can provide our patients with more options when it comes to wearing braces than ever before. The purpose of orthodontics is to treat any type of malocclusion, or "bad bite." When you have a malocclusion, that means your teeth, lips and/or jaws don't line up the way they should.
Early Treatment
Report
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child receive his or her first orthodontic screening by age 7. A timely evaluation is beneficial to recognize potential problems and correct them before they become more serious. Orthodontic appliances maybe placed in early treatment to prevent a problem from occurring, correct a current problem or help direct jawbone growth. Early treatment can save your child time and save you money. By age 12, most, if not all, permanent teeth have erupted and are in place.
Adult Treatment
Report
Retainers are used once orthodontic treatment is complete. Retainers are needed to hold teeth in their new position while surrounding bone and gums adjusts to this new position. Orthodontic treatment is not limited to traditional metal brackets. Orthodontic appliances have evolved immensely giving patients more aesthetic and comfortable options.
