Together the entire dental team including your general dentist, periodontist and orthodontist will determine the types of procedures and the sequence in which they are to transpire. Generally, gingival augmentation is given priority over orthodontic treatment, while other some procedures are performed during or after orthodontic therapy.

A preventative measure to circumvent the onset, advancement and recurrence of dental diseases is a mutual effort by both the patient and their dentist. Averting gum disease begins with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet, with regular assistance from your dentist and periodontist to preserve, restore and maintain your oral health.
