Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Schmidgall has a twin sister and a younger brother. His dad's career brought him to Colleyville, TX where he lived until he attended Texas A&M University. He then went on to receive his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. Dr. Schmidgall and his wife, Michele, met during his residency at Veterans Affairs Hospital.
