Business Details
We have provided the most advanced dental care available to Atlantas neediest patients for over a century. Our journey began more than 100 years ago as a general health clinic, evolving into a dedicated dental facility in 1929. We serve thousands of patients annually, addressing growing demand with a 7,900-square-foot facility featuring 16 operatories and state-of-the-art technology. Our mission is rooted in compassion, offering comprehensive, quality dental care at no cost to Atlantans who cannot afford it. Volunteer dentists and hygienists form the backbone of our operations, donating their time to deliver life-changing services. We relocated multiple times to better serve our community, with Ben Massells generosity enabling a 1956 move to Pryor Street and a 1959 relocation to 7th Street, where we operated for 49 years.

Despite past challenges like limited parking and outdated equipment, our commitment to accessible healthcare never wavered. In 2008, we relocated to a renovated 14th Street facility, modernizing our capabilities through a $5.5 million capital campaign. Today, nearly 100 volunteer dentists and our dedicated staff uphold our legacy of restoring health and hope. We prioritize patient dignity, offering confidential and accessible care to all. Our work has been nationally and internationally recognized for its innovative model and unwavering devotion to underserved communities.

Reading the reviews made me want to become a patient at this office however I won't be calling every Monday just to not speak with anyone besides an automated voice so I would recommend they fix that issue. Especially since they only allow applications 1 day out of the week

They did not perform the services, they offered and covered for each other when i asked the office manager. they should get rid of that entire front room staff my gums are bleeding, teeth even more sensitive than when i came in; and tartar is present. i have never had my teeth cleaned before. so i didn't know what to expect. but i do know i could eat food on one side and my gums weren't bleeding. proceed with caution

Haven't had a chance to get any services done just yet but calling is very discouraging due to the fact that once you get through the phone hangs up on you. I got hung up on at least 5-6 times before the mailbox was full. I called from 8:59am and continued to get hung up on until finally at about 9:20am when they announced they were full. I am unsure where u leave your contact info at because when you press 2 they hang up. Makes me wonder if they're really taking new people or just hanging up.

Either way I plan to give it one more try before looking into other options as I know this will be a process. It's very nice to offer this service to the community. We'll see if I ever make it through :

Great Experience! I had two teeth pulled and a fill-in with them. They did it for FREE! I had no insurance. The Doctors are mostly residency students that need quality hours for the dds. But you also have veteran drs that assist them and do this all for charity! Hey I think this clinic should manifest more, just like it. Highly recommended for people with life situations and need it! Call mornings @ 7am SHARP! They will help if you can get them on the phone.

Great dental service if you have no insurance or low income. Takes a while to get in the program but definitely worth the wait. All the volunteers are great.
