The "Give Back a Smile" program is a charity initiative that the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation (AACDCF) started in 1999. Since its beginning, cosmetic dentists have restored over 1,800 damage smiles for a total dollar value of over $17 million. The mission of "Give Back a Smile" is to "assist in rebuilding the smiles and lives of adults who've suffered dental injuries from domestic and sexual violence, through compassionate cosmetic dental services and support programs".
