Services
First Visit
Report
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and our practice recommend that your child visit our office by his/her 1st birthday. The visit at this age is less clinical and more educational. This essentially is a "well baby check" for the teeth. At this visit, we will conduct a risk assessment by evaluating family and infant health history.
Office Policies
Report
One of our team members will work with you to find a time that fits within your schedule. Preschool children should be seen in the morning so we can take more time with your child for their comfort. We want to make their first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. Dental appointments are an excused absence.
Dental Topics
Report
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.
Nitrous & Hospital Sedation
Report
In order to perform the recommended dental care, some children may benefit from medications that will help them relax and sit still for the dentist. Based on a preliminary exam, the dentist will determine which type of sedation may work best for your child. Nitrous Oxide and hospital sedation are two options discussed below.
