I went to Dr Gurley because I was having sensitivity with a molar. He spent 10 minutes with me and applied some numbing gel which took away the pain. I appreciated that he didn't immediately recommend a new crown, so I booked a 6-month check-up and cleaning. Shortly thereafter, I had a crown chip, and Dr Gurley again spent 10 minutes with me as he ground the corner of my crown to remove the sharp edge.
I was shocked when I ended up with a bill for $959 dollars of which insurance only paid $411. It appears Dr Gurley DOUBLES the rates that top-of-the-line dental insurance plans pay, essentially double dipping. Now no one will call me to discuss how they can justify charging MORE in Alpharetta than we paid in Orange County, CA. Point of reference: our new dentist in Milton, GA charges $69 for panoramic film when a patient has insurance; Dr Gurley charged me $190.

After a car accident I needed to have my teeth repaired or cosmetically improved. I went to my dentist in Athens with unacceptable results and was referred to a dentist in Buckhead that told me for $38,000 for 12 teeth I could look "younger". I called Dr. Shawn Gurley's office, had an appointment within a few days, was treated so well and had an amazing and productive visit with Dr. Gurley. I have my temporaries and could not be happier. Dr Gurley and his staff are amazing. He listens to your needs and delivers. Thank you to the Dr. and the entire staff.

Today my husband went to see Dr. Gurley for a issue with his tooth for the fist time. First let me say that my husband is a true man in the essance that he does not like going to the dentist or doctor for any reason. His tooth was giving him a huge problem so he had no choice. Once meeting Dr. Gurley and his staff he is now a patient for life. He loved that Dr. Gurley was very thorough and he actually listened to you.
His staff was professional and welcoming from the time you entered his office, until the time you left. His office is immaculently clean and organized. If you are looking for a dentist that is efficient, courteous and kind look no further!
