Having to visit the dentist every six months may not be the appointment that everyone looks forward to, but it is one of the most important ones to keep. If you have found yourself wondering what the point of having regular dental checkups and cleanings really is, we've got something for you to think about.

Fillings
Report
At Bay Dental, we can invisibly repair and protect damaged teeth or replace unattractive metallic fillings with fillings that mimic the look, feel and function of natural teeth. The most important feature, for many people, is that they look and react more like natural teeth. Dental fillings can be divided into two broad types: direct restorations and indirect restorations.
Root Canals
Report
If your tooth's nerve chamber becomes infected by decay, root canal treatment is often the only way to save your tooth. Inside your tooth's hard outer shell is a nourishing pulp of blood vessels, lymph vessels and nerves. The root canal forms a pathway for vessels and nerves to extend to the bone. Deep tooth decay or injury can cause serious damage and infection to the pulp's nerves and vessels.
