I LOVE going to the Smile Spa!! Every time I go, I feel so welcome from the moment I walk in the door and through my entire visit! The check-in process was easy and seamless. The first time I was treated there I filled out a form where they asked about my history, which I so appreciated - it's clear they want to make sure to get to know you (and your oral health) well so they can provide great treatment! Their assistant was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Taking X-rays was so easy and quick! Dr. Joelle explained everything she saw and what her recommendations were. When I returned to get my cavities filled, she made sure I was comfortable during the entire treatment! She even followed up with me afterwards to make sure I was feeling okay. I did not feel any pain during the visit at all, and afterwards felt good as new! Dr. Joelle, Dr. Shawn, and the entire staff make it an amazing dental experience every time I'm here! They really treated me like family! Highly recommend!!

Dr. Joelle and her staff are amazing! They have treated me with the highest level of care and kindness during each visit. She is treating my jaw pain with Botox, has taken care of extensive dental work (all with sedation!) and has fitted me with a new night guard. Im so happy to have found her. Shell be my dentist for life! Id give her 10 stars if I could!!

What a great office and dentist. I called them on a Thursday with a cracked tooth and they got me the next day, as a new patient I was amazed at the level of service and care I was given. Christy at the front desk could not have been nicer and Dr. Shawn Nguyen was the kindest dentist I have ever had!! Thank you so much for the great experience!!

I feel like family when I walk in. The amazing ladies at the front desk greet by name everytime without having to ask. Customer service and dental care at it's best! I called at 8:30 at night in the evening due to an implant falling out. I received a call from someone from the office who was incredibly helpful and got me in this morning at 8:45. I am 56 years old and, because I have moved many times in my life, I have been to many different dentists and I can say without hesitation that Dr. Shawn is by far the most superior dentist/periodontist I have ever seen. The Smile Spa has been a great experience for me! I had to have my wisdom teeth out that I had been putting off for at least a year, and I came into the office as a new patient. Dr. Joelle gave me a thorough breakdown of my x-rays and made me feel extremely comfortable about the entire process. Dr. Shawn completed the procedure a week later, and it was much simpler and easier than I expected! Made a full recovery in less than a week. Not to mention they are extremely personable and it feels like they genuinely care about you as a patient and as a person! 10/10 would recommend them to any family and friends, easily one of the best dentist experiences Ive had! Excellent experience, I went in for wisdom tooth extraction. Staff was very helpful and friendly, they explained what to expect in detail. Truly the most professional dentist office Ive ever been to. The entire staff - from reception to surgeons were professional, empathetic, happy, and EFFICIENT. In this day and age, it is so hard to go anywhere that the entire staff seemed happy to be at their jobs and WANTED to take care of their patients. Thank you so much for taking care of my husband. Hes precious to me. Anytime I see him in pain I just want it to be fixed. The Smile Spa made that happen in less than two hours! We will be coming back!

Love The Smile Spa. The two dentists are great and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We were crushed and happy at the same time when our former dentist retired, yes you saw that right, he was my uncle so we're happy that he's retired, much deserved. Crushed because we know finding a good dentist is hard and we did see another dentist in between and that was a very unpleasant experience. Eventually we were introduced to The Smile Spa and now our whole family here in SoCal is being taken care of by them. My dad even got implants done there and I've never seen him more confident when smiling.
We don't exactly live in the area but for the care and expertise, the drive is well worth it for us. Besides, I'm out voted by my little bosses anyways as my daughter thinks Dr. Joelle is awesome and my son thinks their office 3D printer and scanners are amazing gadgets. See ya'll for my cleaning soon!

I have had terrible experiences with prior dentists that have created serious legitimate anxiety. The doctors and staff at Smile
Spa have been heroic and amazing working with me and getting me over my fears with their care and patience. I cant thank them enough, nor can I recommend them highly enough to others!

I love the Smile Spa! My first experience here was dealing with a cracked tooth and an extraction. Never a fun experience, but everyone here was helpful, caring, & supportive throughout it. I've never been to a dentist with this level of care and accessibility. Not only do they have great people skills, but I've been extremely impressed with the technology they have - it's leagues better than any other place I've gone. Can't say enough about how excellent Dr Joelle, Dr Shawn, and all the staff are here.

I needed a total mouth makeover for years. Finally decided it was time. Came across Smile Spa on Next Door. Stars must have been aligned that day. What an incredible experience- from the minute I 1st called, their attention to patient comfort surpasses anything I have ever experienced in a dental office. Everyone is kind, caring, gracious and Dr.Joelle and Dr. Shawn are masters of their craft. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Had some trepidation because of this being the first time with this dental group for anything other than basic procedures. I was grateful that Dr. Shawn and Joelle were very calm, friendly and willing to answer questions. I was glad that the dental assistant was so nice and comforting by just talking to me and being gentle when it started to hurt a little. So grateful for the kindness of the whole office, their humor helps to relax, and most importantly, they make an effort to get you in as soon as possible. Hearing Joelle, on a Friday afternoon letting me know to call even on weekend they would be available if needed, was the best feeling and comfort. Sore tooth on weekend is not fun. I would highly recommend this entire practice.

I had such a great experience getting my wisdom tooth extracted at The Smile Spa! They were able to get me in quickly and every single person at that office was so nice. The procedure was quick, office was clean, and they were all so welcoming and made you feel at ease. I also had a couple questions I needed answered afterward and was able to text the number and got a reply and/or call back within minutes. Very pleased with the overall experience!

Ive been going to the Smile Spa for over a year and a half now for my biannual checkups, a tooth implant, and wisdom teeth removal, and Ive consistently been impressed by how accommodating Dr. Joelle Abedad, Dr. Shawn Nguyen, and their staff are for their customers needs. They have a text message chat line that allows me to contact them directly with any questions I may have which helps relieve a lot of my anxiety especially after a procedure. The staff have been amazing helping me to navigate my insurance to make sure Im paying the least amount out of pocket I need to be and they really make an effort to know their customers. They really ensure that their customers are taken care off and given the best treatment possible. Just last month Dr. Shawn made time outside of his regular hours to see me for a last minute emergency which I greatly appreciated.

This is truly a spa-like experience. From the minute I walked in, the staff was welcoming, nice and calm. They are wonderfully efficient. I felt very comfortable with the male dental assistant who helped fit me for a mouth guard; he explained every step and piece of equipment and checked in to see if I had any questions. As promised, my mouthguard was ready within 3-4 days. It even has my initials on it! Joelle, the dentist, made sure it was an accurate fit and told me to come by anytime to have it professionally cleaned for free. I am so happy with the service I received at The Smile Spa. In fact, I prefer to go there and pay out of pocket over my HMO dentist. The difference in professionalism and service is profound.

I have been looking for a dentist in LA since moving here and I am so happy I found the Smile Spa. It is a beautiful dental office with the most welcoming staff. Both Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn are so attentive, making sure to always check in about my concerns and questions. I fully trust them with my teeth, they have been taken such good care of me! I will start by saying I am the "I hate the dentist" person. After a traumatic childhood dental experience, I have avoided to my best ability. I broke a molar and was in significant discomfort and took straight to google/local Mom's groups for referrals. Smile Spa came up and after reading all the reviews, I was sold. I was SO anxious. I had to force myself into the appointment. The team from the front office all the way through the x-ray process made me feel like I was talking to friends or visiting a routine salon appointment.
Fast forward to meeting Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn and I was immediately at ease. Learned that the tooth I broke was actually my wisdom teeth and had to immediately have them removed within a few days. Here I am one day "post-op" on a deep cleaning and all four wisdom teeth extractions and I can easily say the experience was phenomenal. I will no longer put off going to the dentist as I have found my safe haven! The recovery I am experiencing is nothing like that of peers or family members who have had wisdom teeth removed as an adult, which is an absolute testament to the skill of Dr. Shawn.
