Dr. Owens
Dr. Jarvis B. Owens, known to many as Dr. Jay, found his calling in dentistry during a high school career day event. While shadowing a local dentist in his hometown of Chicago, he was inspired by the professions variety and the opportunity to form lasting relationships with patients. This experience solidified his interest, leading him to enroll in a pre-freshman summer program at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he explored various health professions and confirmed his commitment to dentistry.
After graduating from Morehouse with honors and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Owens took a gap year to further his education, earning a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University. He then pursued his dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, widely regarded as the nations top dental school.

I am so pleased with Legacy Dental. I’ve been going to them for a year, and have been very satisfied with their care. Dr. Owens and his staff are professional and knowledgeable, yet also kind and friendly. I recently had an issue with a very old crown, and they got me in to look at it quickly, then made room to fix it promptly. I have found my new dentist.
I’ve kept going to Dr. Owens! They did a fabulous job straightening some of my teeth. It has been a pleasant and very satisfying experience.

Legacy Dental did such an amazing job taking care of me and my daughter. Staff is very attentive and check in was easy. DR. answered all of our questions and concerns. We were able to get in the room fairly quick and be seen within a reasonable time. I have no complaints. Every step of the visit from x-rays, cleanings to payment, was a breeze. If I could give 10 stars I would. Bonnie, Sarah, and Clara all made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked in the office, and the quality of treatment by Dr. Owens and his staff were exceptional. By far one of the best dental experiences I've ever had (and I've had plenty lol). Thanks Legacy for restoring my smile and faith in dentistry! :)
