Dr. Amar Patel
A California native, Dr. Amar Patel grew up in Santa Cruz and received his Bachelor of Science from UC Davis and his Doctorate in Dentistry from Temple University. Since then, he has completed continued education through the Kois Center, as well as additional training through Spear Education. Dr. Patels time at the Kois Center only grew his passion for people-focused dentistry. Hes not looking at you as another statistic or mouth to fix. Dr. Patel sees you as the person you are, with goals and dreams of a healthier smile and a happier life.

Changing dentists is not easy -- but my dentist retired so I needed to make a change. Dr Patel's team has made the transition easy. They are very friendly. It is enjoyable to see them. Dr Patel has invested in the latest dental technology -- and he will spend time explaining anything that you want to know. Highly recommended!

I just received my by bi-annual check up.
To my surprise (and delight), Dr. Patel did my whole procedure.
I was introduced to a new piece of advanced technology for my mouth x-ray and was pleased with not having to endure the “gum smashing, lip stretching, semi-gagging” of the old school cardboard negative holders.
The new Xray technology had a low profile, palatable, mechanism that you hold in your mouth, while the technician uses a handheld camera that immediately uploads the images to the computer for reflection by the Dental Tech. and Dr.
I love that Ivory Dental thrives on new science and technology and brings that information and experience to the patient !

Doctor Patel and the staff at Ivory Dental Aesthetics- from the front desk to the technicians- are all such lovely people. Very friendly and make you feel really comfortable. They all seem to get "it" (that no one likes having metal tools scraped against their teeth and gums) and engage with patients accordingly. Also, and this is huge, no one talks your ear off and expects you to give detailed responses while your mouth is agape and full of fingers and tools (I've experienced this at many other dentist offices). Doctor Patel has a great "bedside manner" and his technicians ensure that all the poking and prodding is done with care. This is the first dentist that I haven't dreaded going to see. Highly recommended!

I visited Dr. Patel and the hygienist for the first time. I let Dr. Patel know that I was interested in veneers. He took a few extra minutes to explain the different types of veneers, the process, and pros and cons. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He was genuine and didn’t try to push to sell services and I appreciate that. Will definitely be making Ivory Dental my new dental office. Entire team is helpful!
