DeLand Smiles offers FREE dentistry because we care and about you and your families health. No amalgam/silver fillings are performed at our office (we haven't placed one in over 10 years). During the removal of mercury fillings, we use special equipment & techniques to minimize any mercury vapors for our patients and ourselves.
Dr. Mark Mathias

Dr. Mark Mathias graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1989 and established his technologically advanced practice here in DeLand in 2000 after relocating from New Jersey. He was initially inspired to become a dentist by a family friend who owned a private dental practice. Since Dr. Mathias was drawn to artistic skills that required the use of his hands, he ended up pursuing dentistry as a way to implement these interests with the service of helping better the lives of other people.
