I am a 1990 graduate of Williamsville East High School and received my Bachelors degree with Honors in Biological Sciences right here at the University of Buffalo. Continuing in the great tradition of the world renowned U.B. School of Dental Medicine I graduated Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998. Following graduation I undertook further training to broaden my skills in a residency program at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital receiving a Certificate of Residency in General Practice.Because there are continuing advances in the field of dentistry I am always striving to learn the latest, state-of-the-art techniques in order to provide the best possible care for my patients.
Cerec 3D (Ceramic Reconstruction) is pivotal new technology which allows Dr. Young to satisfy patients seeking a long-lasting alternative to silver or plastic fillings. Inlays, Onlays, Partial to Full Crowns as well as any Single-Tooth Restoration can be created by Cerec 3. Dr. Young is one of only a select few dentists in Western New York trained and certified to provide this state-of-the-art service.
At my office we take patients' concerns seriously, which is why I have incorporated yet another state-of-the-art advance in dentistry today, Digital X-Rays. Digital X-Rays virtually eliminate any exposure to harmful radiation (over 90% less than traditional film). They are instantaneous, no waiting for developing, and with many tools available within the soflware itself we can enhance our ability to read and diagnose the images.
Instead of a traditional bridge, I chose a dental implant and it's beautiful and I know it will stay that way. The procedure was a snap and I know I have the best tooth replacement available. With implants, there's no need to grind down healthy adjacent teeth. The implant acts as a root to help prevent bone deterioration and delivers long lasting function and beauty. Traditional bridges will eventually lead to bone loss under the unsupported tooth. This can result in an unattractive dark space at the gumline.

I've been coming to Dr. Young's office for a little over 4 years now and I feel very comfortable here. It was hard finding a new dentist after my childhood dentist retired, and I am glad I chose here. All the dental hygienists do a great job - they take their time, and I like that they check in to make sure you are doing okay during your cleaning.
The entire office is very clean - I was also pleasantly surprised by the high ceilings and all the windows - I like that because you don't feel claustrophobic when someone is very close to you/working in your mouth. Dr. Young is very kind and does a great job when you are having any procedures such as a filling done.

I have been a patient of Dr. Young for just over a year. Having moved recently to the area I was hesitant and kind of nervous about choosing a new dentist, and researched for a long time. There are things that I am very particular about, and choosing a dentist and their dental hygienist that look after my teeth is one of them. This was my second appointment with Dr Young for a regular checkup and cleaning, and I am extremely happy with the service I received. Jessica the dental hygienist was wonderful and did a great job of cleaning my teeth. Thank you!

8.4.2020 Response: Thank you Dr Young for reminding me to update the facts. Based on the other reviews, there seams to be a common theme of unethical billing at your practice. The facts are simple, you refused to speak with me about the bill and threatened to send to collections. I (reluctantly) paid the bill in full and further pursued the issue through my insurance, Delta Dental. Delta Dental determined that you billed for the same surface more than once within a 12 month period and so you were NOT eligible to receive a 2nd reimbursement per the contract YOU signed with Delta Dental.
The insurance sent you several notices informing you that you were in breach of contract and to send a reimbursement check back to me. After you ignored the notices and did not send a refund, Delta Dental withheld the amount of my reimbursement from your current reimbursement schedule and sent me a check in FULL for the unethical and fraudulent billing charge.

BEWARE OF THIS DENTAL OFFICE. My brother came in for a ROOT CANAL as per suggestion of another office. He made it evident to the dentist he needs a root canal but the dental office recommended giving him a cleaning and xrays even though he previously got xrays and that's how he knows he needs a root canal. After the cleaning the dentist said "we don't do root canals i'll refer you to someone else." They then proceeded to ask him for $230 dollars.
My brother said he has insurance, he told the receptionist when he made the appointment. After services were done they told him "we don't take your insurance you need to pay" If she had told him we don't take your insurance he would have looked for another dental office. They knowingly took him in and gave him services he DIDN'T NEED, all for the money.

Dr. Young and his team are exceptionally good at what they do. There is a hygienist there named Alisha, (I think, Who is very sweet kind and quick, but quality results every time. The doctor is also incredible, very upbeat and approachable. When he did my 3 first three fillings I was very nervous, he made sure I was okay stopping every other minute to check on me.
They also always call me back as soon as I sign in and not only that but they are quick with their craft as well. Such a positive experience (kind of). I hate getting work done on my teeth but this team made me feel a lot better about it.

The hygienist took her time and made sure my teeth were clean. This was no 5 minute rush job like I've become accustomed to at other offices; she gave a full, very extensive gum examination, made sure my teeth were cleaned and polished, and they also did not x-ray my teeth until there was an issue with a poorly done root canal by two former dentists that I'd had done years ago. Dr.
Young came in and explained everything. He's kind, considerate, and truly care about his patients. Where I had another dentist who wanted to "treatment plan" multiple teeth, Dr. Young said everything looks great save the one cracked filling that should be fixed since it's leaking. They took their time, showed me everything, and definitely take their jobs seriously with the utmost care and attention given to their patients. Ultimately, the greatest testament to Dr. Young's character is that he's honest, which is super rare to find in a dentist. A+

Always a pleasant visit at Dr Young's office. My Family and I have been patients for over 10 years. From a cleaning to a filling and any other procedure that is needed, you are treated with respect. Little to no waiting for your appointment time and no issues when you need to see Dr Young for an emergency. The Staff is friendly and upbeat. Excellent customer service by each team member.

I'm 56 years old and my family and I have been going to Dr. Young's for 5-years. This dental office (staff, hygienist and doctor) is far and away the best we have ever encountered. Beautiful facility, skilled hygienist and a pleasant, amazingly talented and extremely proficient dentist in Doctor Young. There is never an issue.short wait times (if any), no "attitudes" and the best.most consistent care anyone could expect.
