Services
We offer many options in orthodontic care for patients of all ages! Our services include traditional braces (metal or clear), removable appliance treatment (retainers to hold or to move the teeth), and Invisalign. In addition, we offer the latest in orthodontic bracket technology with the use of self-ligating brackets.
A native of Ames, Iowa, Dr. Thieberg graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA in 1992. At the same time, Phi Beta Kappa awarded her membership. Her major was European Studies with a minor in Spanish Literature. Thereafter she completed a four-year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. During that time Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, granted her membership, and she graduated valedictorian of her class.
When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and your teeth may be tender to biting pressures for several days. During this time you may want to use ibuprofen (brand name Advil or Motrin), an over-the-counter pain medication. Eating softer foods such as soup or pasta may help with the discomfort.
Your dentist may have discussed with you the benefits of having healthy teeth and proper jaw function. Altogether it is more difficult to keep crooked, crowded or overlapping teeth clean and their supporting bone and gums healthy. Furthermore, other orthodontic problems may contribute to abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, inefficient chewing function, and excessive stress on gum tissue and the supporting bone.

I was referred to this office back in 2014 by my sister. Both my nephews had their braces done here. Did braces here for a year and then came back to be a patient once again in 2020 (Because of my lack of wearing my retainers). Office has and always been super friendly. Service has always been great here and Dr. Thieberg is awesome. Even my dentist tells me that this office is very well recognized and that Dr. Thieberg is outstanding in her work.

Great office staff, and personnel. Very friendly, and will talk with the patient and the parents about expectations with braces and retainers. Visits do not take too much time, and there is coffee in the waiting room which is a definite plus for me! If you or your child needs braces, Wylie Orthodontic Specialists is the place to go. Wylie Orthodontics has been amazing for me. I decided to get braces as an adult and the entire team has made the process seamless. I hardly recognize my teeth anymore, they have made a complete 180. Dr. Theiberg and her staff have been awesome from day one! My son, Luke, was anxious the first time going in and Dr. T and her assistant were super nice and explained everything to him so he would understand what was going on and not be as nervous. I never feel rushed during his appointments when I start to ask questions about what the next steps will be. I highly recommend this office and wonderful group of people!

Wylie Orthodontics has gone above and beyond for my daughter. She does not have braces yet but over the last year and a half they have been monitoring and watching her growth and not rushing us into the braces process. I appreciate the office for not pushing us to start it at a young age. I feel better knowing they will start her braces when she is completely ready.
