Children who adopt healthy dental habits can develop into adults that maintain great oral health care. That is why at Waban Dental Group our pediatric dentist is highly educated and trained to care for your child's teeth and gums. We recommend scheduling a consultation to learn more about our pediatric dental services today.
Pediatricians and dental experts recommend that all children have their first dental exam by the time they turn 1 year old (or get their first tooth.) We want your child's first experience with the dentist to be a positive one. Through routine exams and preventative care, we can help your child enjoy healthy teeth for life.
During your child's six-month checkup, we'll perform both an exam and a dental cleaning. For the dental cleaning portion of the visit, one of our hygienists will work at your child's pace to remove buildup, stain, and discuss age-appropriate home care. Although children aren't prone to periodontal disease the same way adults are, they still develop tartar and plaque buildup on their teeth. Without removing these deposits regularly, they can contribute to gingivitis, bad breath, and social concerns.

I have had excellent care at Waban Dental Group over many years. However, in my recent visit, the new hygienist cleaned rapidly and aggressively, leading to much more pain and bleeding than on previous encounters with other hygienists. I hope this was an exception, and I will stay with the practice but request a different provider. On another subject, the practice seems to be very careful about COVID safety, with masking (except when teeth are being accessed!), ventilation, and vacuum intakes near the patient's mouth.

Dr. Birnhak has been my dentist for over 20 years. She is a superb clinician who checks constantly when performing the dentistry to make sure I'm as comfortable as possible. She really cares about her patients and has got to be one of the most skilled and knowledgeable dentists practicing anywhere. I doubt anyone likes going to the dentist but I always have confidence that if work needs to be done ( and unfortunately I've had a lot done) Dr B will perform it skillfully, efficiently, with as little discomfort as possible and with aesthetically pleasing results. Her dental assistant, Jane, is wonderful too. Dr. B is absolutely the best!

2-9-2022 My first visit and I'm very impressed. The staff is professional, personable, and knowledgeable. The office is light, bright, and well maintained. I followed my dentist from another practice. I'm big on relationships with my medical team. Every organization and individual professionals has room for improvement, even if they are at the top of their game, that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
