I've had quite a few dentists over the years and Rincon Dental by far exceeds my expectations! Everyone is SO nice and it really feels like a family when you walk in. Dr. Byun is amazing and experienced at his job and truly cares about his patient's health. Mia the office coordinator is amazing and detailed at her job and followed up with me to make sure I was all set up before the appointment. Arlene, the registered dental assistant was so lovely and smoothly did all my x-rays.

And last but not least Sandra was amazing at making sure my plague was removed, teeth cleaned and flossed! I even discovered a new amazing floss. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly. I felt like I was truly taken care of by the team at Rincon Dental. Also. I love going to the dentist and always look forward to my cleanings, but finding this Rincon Dental makes me even MORE excited going forward!

I work upstairs and Dr Byun was highly recommended by colleagues. I've been to this office a couple times now, and each time I walk away satisfied with my experience. 1. I appreciate Dr Byun's honesty and transparency. Understanding that your avg joe can't tell the difference between serious / moderate / light decay when looking at an x ray, it's easy for providers to over treat to pad their bottom line.

I had a bunch of dental work done during covid at a provider in SD. Today when I saw Dr B he told me it was unnecessarily aggressive and to not go back. His candor and honesty was refreshing and makes me want to continue going back for treatment. 2. Scheduling is generally a breeze and reception is very friendly. I requested an apt online and got a response within an hour.

I docked a star bc I had asked to reschedule given a last minute work conflict, but they charge a pretty hefty $120 for cancellations / reschedules without 24 hrs prior notice. It's steep compared to other providers, but I suppose understandable given the location in DTSF. 3. Hygienist was thorough, positive, and friendly. Also, use coco floss people! Thanks Dr B and co. Looking forward to my next visit!

I went to Rincon Dental for 5 years. I left today due to leaving the Bay Area, and it was one of the most difficult decisions ever! They made it difficult to make that decision because they truly treat you like family and I could never replace them. You walk in and are greeted by the friendliest staff. They truly care and it shows. If I could give them a million stars I would!

Was able to get in and out within an hour of calling for an emergency fix! Strategized with Dr. Byun about next steps and walked away with a piece of mind. Appreciate his focus on health over esthetics. Front desk and everyone else here are always welcoming. Have been coming here for over a decade, always a good experience.

Referred by a friend. Really enjoyed my experience here. The cleaning was very thorough but also one of the most painless I've ever had, the dental hygienist had a very soft touch. The dentist took X-rays and gave a thorough exam of my teeth and was very understanding about my anxieties re going to the dentist. Beautiful experience 10/10

This practice has really gone downhill in the past year. just had my cleaning/check up done yesterday and was really not happy with the "service". hygenist did a half*ss job of cleaning -- used the scaler for a couple of minutes, then a few minutes with manual scraping. "polishing" was running the machine a couple of minutes outside my mouth (really?) then briefly ran it over a couple of teeth. "dentist" came in, pulled at my lips so hard that it hurt, visibly "inspected" my teeth for a couple of seconds and said I was "good to go". i won't be back suggest you don't patronize them either

Tried calling them at least a couple of times, left voice messages because the location is very convenient for me to schedule an appointment. They never pick up and I never got a call back. Reading some of the reviews here, I'm not sure what kind of people they have manning the front desk. I took my business somewhere else, I suggest you do too.

I just started going to this dentist and so far they've been fantastic! From working with Mia to get set up and scheduled, to the x-ray technician (sorry, I forget her name), to my consultation with Dr. Byun - the whole experience has been impeccable. Based on the clear and comfortable welcome process and exam, and the overall professionalism I've experienced, I would highly recommend this dentist.

Rincon Dental is always very professional, very clean and very friendly. I originally chose them because they were close to my office but I have stayed with them even since my office moved several blocks away. I would highly recommend them.

Rincon Dental is one of the best dentist offices I've been to. The staff are all super professional, friendly and helpful. Dr. Byun is the first dentist to recommend a solution to canker sores that actually works! (Watermelon Frost) On my last visit I was in a hurry because I could only find a 30 minute parking meter. They took x-rays and cleaned my teath swiftly and thoroughly and I was back to my car before I got a ticket!

I've been going to Rincon for over 12 years and the team here is awesome. They do great work and hold you accountable in a gentle way.

I saw all the good reviews and was very suspicious. How can a place be that good? Well, I just had my first appointment, and I can confirm Rincon is the nicest dental office I have ever been to. Everyone is super smart and thoughtful. Mia, the office coordinator, was extremely welcoming and I didn't have to wait at all to start my appointment. Arlene, the x-ray tech, is probably the sweetest person I've ever met. Dr. Byun was kind and thorough and even polished off a stain I was insecure about. Martina, the dental hygienist, was so nice and didn't make me feel ashamed about my terrible flossing habits but took the time to listen to my anxieties and educate me. 10/10 would recommend.

I don't think you'll have a better experience anywhere else in the greater Bay Area! They're genuinely so kind and very efficient! I would recommend them to everyone.

I've been going to Rincon Dental for 10 years and they are simply the best. They always are running on time, have the most friendly staff, and you get to watch TV while your teeth get cleaned. Also, I can't not mention that they've done a great job taking care of my teeth!

I love Doctor Byun and his staff, Mia, Victoria and Charlene are amazing. I went to see them after I had a bad experience at another dental office. Rincon dental was recommended by a friend and it really was a life saver for me. I went in very scared and feeling unwell, and I left with a smile on my face. The doctor told me exactly what was going on and gave me all the information that I needed and the recommendation for an oral surgeon. He's the best dentist I've ever been to, he talks with the patient and explains everything, he's a professional, I will send all my friends to him and his lovely staff.

I've been a regular at Rincon Dental for over 10 years and wouldn't even consider going somewhere else. Even though I work from home full time in Oakland now, they are still worth the trip into the city. Highly recommend this practice. Everyone is friendly and professional from Mia in the front office, to the dental assistants, to Dr. Byun. They are thorough to ensure you receive the proper care while taking a conservative approach and not selling unnecessary procedures. The additional safety protocols they have implemented because of COVID make me feel safe coming into the office at this time of partial lockdown.

I have been coming to Rincon Dental for 16 years, ever since I moved to SF from Boston. Dr. Steve Byun, Frances, Martina, Mia, Cheryl, and the entire crew at Rincon are consistently warm, caring, and just overall wonderful people. I have had a positive experience at this dentist every single time I have visited. This is definitely the best crew and dentist I have ever been to, and as long as I live in the Bay Area, this is the only dental clinic I will ever go to. I highly recommend and keep up the awesome work!

My dentist of 27 years retired during COVID so I finally went to Dr Byun. I'd been hearing about him from friends and colleagues of mine. He and his staff made things so so easy for me. Not only did they make me feel comfortable with all the CVD protocol but they were friendly, fast and not at the expense of really quality care. I can't wait for my next cleaning!

A top dental office with extraordinary staff and fabulous dentist. Dr Steve Byun and his teem are amazing. I have been a patient for six years and can attest that this dental office does excellent work. I had several crowns and fillings done, and cosmetic dentistry too. The job was perfect and everyone is so friendly and caring that I would drive miles to keep going to this dental office over any other.

Always a great experience with this crew. I have been coming here for years and you can feel how they care about their patients. I have been coming to Rincon dental office for 2 years now, thanks to my daughter Jenn H who referred me. Their customer service is excellent starting with Dr Byun who is so efficient, knowledgeable and professional and his sweet assistant Arlene. Frances and Mia greet you with such warmth and accommodate your schedule to fit you in when needed. Let's not forget Denise who does the best cleaning and keep my smile beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the service I am getting.

I had my crown done and the dentist was very helpful and experienced! They gave great advice in terms of what is necessary and what might happen. They don't try to do work when not needed. The office personnels are very accommodating. If your teeth are more sensitive than normal, you should let them know and they can accommodate.

I used to really like this place, but I had an extremely bad experience. The dentist refused to help me with a critical structural issue causing me to be unable to eat on one whole side of my mouth. He told me it would "be fine" if my temporary fell out. Unbelievable. Sent me home unable to eat solid foods on one side of my mouth. Even the specialist he referred me to criticized him heavily for leaving me hanging like that.

Some dentist! I won't be going back. The receptionist and support staff are very nice, which is why I'm giving even as many stars as I am. If you have serious issues, this is not the place for you. Cleanings, etc. OK- anything else I'll never trust them again.

I really like the flexibility, speed, and friendliness of everyone at this dental office. The location is also very convenient for Embarcadero businesses.

Everything about the experience was friendly and informative. They were completely transparent in pricing and at no time did I feel like they were pushing an agenda to bring in sales. My NEw York dentist had scared me off dentists and I was hesitant when referred here by a friend. my experience at Rincon was actually great. Highly recommend.

NOT recommended - I had a very negative experience with the receptionist at Rincon Dental when I inquired about scheduling a cleaning appointment. 1. The receptionist would not even discuss availability for dental exam or cleaning without verifying my insurance policy, name, BOD, ID, etc. all over the phone. 2. When I politely suggest that we should check availability first before proceeding to sign up as a new customer, she literally says with attitude "YOU KNOW WHAT, I DONT THINK WE ARE THE RIGHT PRACTICE FOR YOU" and proceeds to hang up on me. Needless to say, I'll be vocally expressing my discomfort and discontent to the benefits team of my employer with 90K+ employees as they clearly don't want new customers.

I loved my experience with Rincon Dental. From the front desk to the hygienists to the dentist, everyone was an absolute treat to be around. Not only did everyone have great character, but the work is superb. I left with my teeth feeling clean and polished. They listen to your concerns and offer solutions rather than pushing product. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist office.
