Dr. Timothy Messer received his dental training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. In addition to his private practice, he has served as a U.S. Navy Reserve Dental Corps officer since 2000. Throughout his career, Dr. Messer has been a member of several prominent professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also an associate member of the American Association of Endodontists and an L.D. Pankey Alumnus.

The staff and dentist were all great, attentive, and informative. There patience with me as well as with others that I manage to witness is outstanding. You can't always see the front staff and the medical staff all have a great personality, but I did that day. Keep up the great teamwork and taking care of us! I look forward to being your patient.

What a disappointment. Signed up for Invisalign. Wore them for 13 months. Teeth didn't shift. Final appointment, the dentist tells me, what I already complained about; my teeth did not shift. My overbite was not corrected. Then, he explained that i have a natural over bite. Now, I wish he would have told me that from the initial appointment when I was first seen.
I never would have signed up for Invisalign. Hearing that, how can I be a good candidate to correct an overbite to make my teeth meet instead of overlap, if my mouth is naturally made where my top teeth go over my bottom. So, $4500 + my time & wearing those trays for 13 months = no results.

This is the best dental office in Memphis! The staff is absolutely amazing! They're patient with me & take the time to listen to my concerns. I initially chose this location a couple of years ago because it was convenient & close to my home, I've since moved & wouldn't go anywhere else. I just left and was very impressed. The people were super nice and the diagnosis was very thorough. I was told what was going on every step of the way. The dental technician told me what she way seeing and then Dr. Messer came in and went into the steps which needed to be performed. I was given a detailed list of each step as well as the anticipated cost after each step. Best dental experience I've ever had.

I highly recommend the team at Southwind Dental Care. I've been seeing Dr. Messer for about 8 years, and I have been nothing but satisfied with his care. I actually live 15 miles away from his office, but find him to be worth the drive! One of the things I appreciate most about him is the range of treatment plans he offers to correct/treat dental concerns.
He doesn't just provide the most expensive option. He gives several options, each with a projected cost, from least invasive/expensive to more extensive. He is professional, caring, has extensive expertise, and his office team is just as exceptional!

I love everything about Southwind Dental, Dr. Messer and his team. Everyone there is very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and hard working. The state of the art equipment is everywhere. They use these tools very efficiently in explaining the health of your mouth. I've been a patient of Dr Messer's for 12 years and Whitney is my Hygienist. My mother is also a patient.
She went through Invisalign and couldn't be happier with her results. At Southwind Dental, the costumer service starts with the first phone call. Arianna is amazing and will make sure you are taken care of. The hygienist are perfect at explaining your needs and the assistants, Kelly and Victoria, make your treatment procedures go smoothly. The team at southwind dental are the most amazing team I have ever worked with. They are kind, helpful, and very sweet. Dr Timothy Messer is by far one of the best dentists I have ever seen. They not only make sure you are comfortable, but also that you are happy with your end results. I would most definitely recommend them!

I had a deep cleaning done last year. The girl who started it gave me multiple shots which I thought was odd. Well I finally went back to finish. I have chosen not to go back and the last dentist I went to recently told me I had major build up and when was the last time I been to a dentist I said last year. Well the work I had done was not done right and I am having to do it again.
This time the dentist checked in the work unlike when I came to this office. The dentist never check on the work and now here I am getting the same work done and paying again for what was suppose have been done in 2019. I am paying double. A dentist should always check on the work and mine never was. I will say the staff is polite and nice but the dental hygienist should be supervised.

I recently moved to Memphis and chose this dentist because it is close to where I live. I've gone to many dentists over the years and have never been to one as thorough and gentle as Southwind. My technician, Kendall, was the kindest, gentlest teeth cleaner I've ever had. She was extremely thorough as well. The dentist gave me advice that no other has before about my bite/jaw. Highly recommended

Today was my first dental visit with Southwind Dental Care. I discovered the dental provider when I was trying to find a dentist for my dad. They treated my dad with such patient, tender loving care. I viewed state-of-the-art technology (machinery) at the facility. I knew that I wanted to try them for myself as well. So, I booked an appointment. All I can say is that I receive over-the-top service! The dental hygienist and Doctor Messer, and staff are lovely! In my eyesight, I received VIP service - Thanks!

I have been seeing Dr. Messer for years. Last week I had a dental emergency and even though they were pretty booked up, they worked me into the schedule. I had a very angry that wasn't going down without a fight, but Dr. Messer won the battle. Lol. He got rid of my pain and gave me the relief I needed. It's a great feeling to know that he and his staff are there when I need them. Everyone in that office, from the front to the back is awesome! They truly care about each and every patient.
