Dental assistants at this office are really gentle during the scraping & cleaning, very professional. A few years back, I made a special appointment because of a sharp, persistent tooth pain. The dentist (Ellenbecker) probed & prodded, did x-rays, but said he could absolutely not find any problem, said to come back in a week or so if the pain still didn't subside. A few days later the pain went away. The dentist had a free golden ticket to do anything he wanted, but choses honesty over $$$. Very happy with this organization! Thanks!

I only came in for a consult. I can't speak for the dental treatment but can Say Dr Hansen is a consciensious person who seems to care she does a good and right job and treats people right. Only 4 stars not reflecting her just some basic miscommunication on office end.

We've been very happy with South Western Dental's care for our family. Drs Hanson and Hartman have been there for us in both routine and emergency dental care, and we are so grateful. The hygienists do great work and everyone is calm, pleasant and encouraging, which is so nice when dental anxiety flares. We've recommended the practice to many friends and family members.

Cleaning was excellent but no oral exam of teeth was done by the dentist although I was charged for an exam. Dentist just looked at X-rays. Called office about this practice and both dentist and hygienist denied my accusation. Surprised by the unethical conduct associated with this practice.

Normally I'm very pleased with the work they do. The dental hygienist are very friendly. But, I had a tooth that was bothering me for quite a few years (figured it was cracked) but never said anything because I didn't want to get a crown put on because I've had 2 already and have ended up having to have root canals on both about 6 months after the crowns.

Finally after years of putting up with the pain, I said something in one of my visits. Of course the dentist response was that it was cracked and needed a crown. I told him my experiences and didn't want to do crown and end up having to do a root canal later and spending $1300 or more on a tooth. I told him I wanted it pulled instead. He told me he didn't want to pull it and that he hardly ever has to do a root canal after a crown.

So I reluctantly agreed and paid $650 for the crown. Low and behold 1 year later and I'm still having the same pain (if not worse) and they want to send me to a specialist and have some special scan done (more money that I didn't want to spend) and then most likely come back and have to get a root canal done! I don't plan on going to the specialist and pretty sure I'm not getting the root canal! If they won't pull tooth for free, pretty sure my family and I will be finding a new dentist office!

My family and I have gone to South Western Dental for years. All the staff are courteous and professional. Our kids (7 & 11 at the time I write this) have had their checkups with absolutely no issue. I highly recommend!

Dr. Tyson and staff are truly amazing. We have just switched over going to South Western Dental, and the experience has been excellent. Dr. Tyson is intelligent, thorough, and compassionate about dentistry and his patients. He is very caring and very good at what he does. The work I had done was also pain free and I never had any scheduling issues with getting in to see them. SWD is a great family dentistry!

I would recommend this business to anyone. The staff are courteous and professional. My appointment was completed in a timely manner. I have had crowns as well as normal cleaning done, and each visit I felt confident that I was in good hands.

They are always compassionate, caring, and truly concerned not for just my teeth but also the costs involved. Dr Hanson and all her team are so good to work with. The best dental team I have ever had!

I've been going to South Western Dental with my family for over 15 years. Recently, my youngest child who is 5 went in for a cleaning. Rachel cleaned her teeth and even though my daughter was very nervous, Rachel did the most amazing job getting her comfortable and even laughing during her appointment. My daughter left their office smiling and feeling great! I continue to be impressed with the team there. Everyone is so incredibly kind and helpful, always!
