We offer a range of pediatric services that focus on prevention, oral health education, and stress-free gentle care. Our school-based oral health screening and education program identifies children who have had limited or no previous dental care and helps to restore their oral health. Our centers are accessible and welcoming to people of all abilities. We offer sedation dentistry to meet the needs of patients with special needs or increased anxiety.

Sonrisas Dental Health, Inc is a non-profit dental center dedicated to providing access to quality dental care and oral health education to our community. We provide these services with dignity, respect and compassion.
Our compassionate staff are able to offer care in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, and Korean, and we offer two locations for your convenience. We offer a wide range of preventative and restorative care for ages 0-99+ to help you take charge of your oral health. We welcome patients with or without insurance and will help you find a treatment plan that fits your needs and your budget. Pat has been with Sonrisas since the inception of the San Mateo Center in 2015. She supports the clinical staff, mobile team, and clinic care coordinators to assure that the clinic runs smoothly and that our patients receive quality care and are happy. Pat also works with the administrative staff to provide data and support to continue our care to the community.

The dentist was very patient with my 10 year old son who was very anxious. The dentist was very professional and kind with my son and explained to him every step of the way! Professional and friendly staff. I went there as a first time patient. Dentist went over what he felt was needed for my individual dental plan. Discussed options and why he felt they were necessary. Did not just default to the most expensive procedure. After the initial appointment, the business manager went over the insurance estimate process with me and gave me a ballpark figure of what to expect for costs going forward. Very straightforward and easy to understand!

If you visit a paediatric dentist, don't take them to Dental Smiles. It has very good grades but you waste your time. It's the worst. A doctor sees the same wing. You see 3 patients running from one office to another giving poor service and wants a child to behave like an adult who doesn't cry because he's not friendly. They just want to treat him as an adult, the worst. Going in search of new memories

I've gone here for several years and had a number of dentists work on me. Dr. Wu on my last visit was very fast. I wasn't feeling that great so I stopped him after the anesthesia and went home. I tried somewhere else but was grossed out by the filth there. I am planning to come back to Sonrisas. It is exceptionally clean, efficient and care is very high quality.
I hope I am not nervous or anxious when I go in. I will mention it up front to help them help me. I only need a little work done. They are so good I hope to have some cosmetic work done on one tooth and pay out of pocket.

We were so grateful to visit Sonrisas San Mateo today for dental help for my friend Carol. It is a wonderfully clean clinic, and their Covid precautions are very smooth and well thought-out. All the people we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and patient. Dr. Wu was not only very skilled but also very kind. He gave us all the time we needed, and answered all our questions in detail. The entire experience was oh, so positive! Thank you and bless you, Sonrisas!

If I could rate this office zero stars I would. I had the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience here. When I came for my appointment they neglected to provide a standard teeth cleaning, they lied and said if I wanted my teeth cleaned I would have to get a blood pressure check, and if I refused I would not receive a cleaning. They stated its their policy to do a b/p, but at my first visit there was no mention of a b/p check.
Upon returning for my 2nd visit, the dentist Laurie Jue was extremely rude and unprofessional. It took 2.5 months to refund $11.90 that I was over charged, it required in-person request emails and telephone calls to finally get my money. I was discriminated against because of my ethnicity and religious beliefs. Avoid going to their office on Saturdays, or better yet avoid going to their office at all costs. As a paying customer I am extremely disappointed with the treatment I received at Sonrisas Dental Health office in Mateo.

What a great place! What a great experience. Thanks to the team for being so kind and compassionate. I appreciate Dr. Laurie for her outstanding care for more than a year now and for educating me on my diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care. I love the way she explains any technical information and given me different options. I never felt any pain or discomfort during the procedure. Everyone on the team is friendly and most careful during covid-19 and, I felt safe.
