Dr. Heather Hudkins has brought experience in compassionate, conservative care to Smile Zone for over 10 years. With her ever-contagious smile and laughter, Dr. H with brighten your visit! Dr. Hudkins graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Missouri-Kansas City. She went on to dental school, graduating in 2001.

Today was my daughter's first time at the dentist. She ended up needing some work done, and they did it the same day. Everyone from the time I walked in, to the time I left was so caring and wonderful. This was my daughter's first time having work done (she's 6), so it caused me to be a little emotional. I was slightly embarrassed but they all were very understanding and kept checking on her for me, giving me updates in the waiting room.
My daughter ended up getting sick during the work and they gave her a shirt to change in to and was very professional about it. I can't thank Dr. Hudkins and staff enough for everything they did for my little girl. Highly recommend this place.

We love the smile zone and especially Jess! She's helped our little guy overcome some really big fears and is always so patient and sweet. Today he finished up ALL of his extensive dental work! He's declared her his BFF and informed her today that if she ever needs him, he will come and stand by her. We cannot thank you all enough!

My kids have been there a few times and the last time the dentist made *both* kids vomit. The assistant said it was normal but that's never happened before with our previous dentist in Kansas City in the many years we went there. It seems they probably gave too much nitrous gas but they denied that. The dentist never came out to visit with us, even when we asked.
Maybe we are accustomed to awesome care in Kansas City but this place is not kid-friendly, is not gentle, does not explain what's happening, and seems to lie. Worst pediatrics dentist we have been to in the Springfield area. I hope this isn't the standard for a pediatric dentist in this area.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Hudkins and all the ladies at Smilezone, especially Caitlin. My boys have had a hard time at every other dentist except this one! They have been so kind and gentle with them and make difficult procedures bearable and even fun for them. This office has been a true answer to my prayers and I am so thankful for them. Dr Hudkins is also really knowledgeable and experienced, it is not hard to trust her expert opinion. Thank you ladies for all you do!

We have been coming to Smile Zone since the kids first started getting teeth. I can't praise the staff enough for how wonderful and friendly they are. They are so good with my kids. My children get excited to know they have a dentist appointment. They love being a part of the Mighty Mouth Club and look forward to celebrating no cavities. I have met with Dr. Hudkins and Dr. Rockne and love them both!

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Hudkins for 6 years, we absolutely love her and the whole Smile Zone staff! They are always amazing and friendly! The office is always so fun and upbeat! The Cavity Free club is an amazing idea! My daughter is always trying to do better with her teeth to stay Cavity Free so she can go to all of the fun parties! We recommend them to anyone looking for a Pediatric Dentist!

My kids are 16, 9, 8, 7 and this has always been their dentist. They do an amazing job with the kids. This dentist has an amazing kid oriented waiting area and dental area in the back. The kids even get to watch their favorite movie while getting their teeth worked on :) Definitely helps reduce fear and anxiety about the dentist. They are always able to work us in for emergency visits. All of the staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming :) I would recommend them to anyone!

Today we tried Smile Zone for the 1st time & we were all very impressed. One of my girls HATES the dentist & my other daughter has an anxiety disorder. We left there with zero anxiety (even after 2 teeth were pulled) and big smiles! Both my girls LOVED everything about this Dental Office, so did I! The staff was friendly & patient. The Dentist was so great! I just can't get over how amazing this whole experience was. I'm impressed.
