Silverado Dental Care - John Savko

Today I went in for a new patient exam, x-rays & consultation. The whole staff was really nice. They greeted me as I walked in, and even remembered booking my appointment over the phone. The Dental Asst & Dentist went over all my questions and concerns which made me feel comfortable & confident. It was such a pleasant first experience there and I would highly recommend using them for all your dental care needs. Tomorrow will be my first cleaning & I'm actually looking forward to it! At 58 years old I've had quite a bit of dental work done at this point in my life and the last procedure that Dr. performed was so good I felt compelled to write a review great team excellent office

Friendly, professional staff, very welcoming, clean office and the Dentist and assistants were great. I definitely recomend Silverado Dental.

What can I say, I strongly dislike visiting the dentist, but the team at Silverado dental made me forget I was at the dentists office and made my first visit there amazing. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the front desk, the woman in charge of my intake Karen is very detailed, and a pleasure to work with. She even took the time to find me an oral surgeon who would work with my insurance and got me set up on a referral!

Now the dental assistant which was the next person I dealt with was equally as amazing! Stephanie made me feel comfortable trough out the X-ray process and took very detailed notes under direction of the dentist about my oral health and history. Now the part I am always most nervous about, the dentist, and well I don't know why I expected otherwise but he too was first class!

He kept it casual and light trough out my exam and made it go by super quickly giving me only necessary suggestions and I can quote him saying "I would never sell you something you don't need" and that's the kind of place Silverado dental is, a true GEM 5 star dental office, best I've ever visited, they have gained a patient for life!

Wonderful. I am the grouchy son of a Tufts DMD who spent most of his free time working in Dad's office as soon as I was old enough, and I am a nightmare reviewer for most dental offices. Wow. This practice is something special. Meg at the front desk is a bright, sunny and welcoming professional and Dr. Capponi is honest, straightforward and trustworthy, with zero intent to upsell or oversell unnecessary services - This can be very difficult to find 'round these parts.

The absolute gem, for me, was having Penny as a hygienist before she retired. It's been a few hours and I am still in awe. Her gentle mastery of the Cavitron is truly artisan-level craft and I wish I had discovered Silverado Dental sooner. Penny, thank you. I am so greatful a friend of mine referred me to Silverado dental because I found the dentist for me! I have such bad dental anxiety and it seemed to all go away with each staff member I came in contact with. Everyone there was so patent and nice. They explained everything very well and the environment was so calm, it really put my mind at ease.

I've been in pain from a new bridge for over a year and a half and gone to three different dentists who couldn't figure out what was wrong. I went to Dr. Prince at Silverado Dental and she explained the problem to me and FIXED it right then and there! No pain! Remarkable. I will only go to Silverado Dental from now on.

I have minimal complaints about the quality of the dental work, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Some greatest hits: 1. Trying to get me to sign a consent form saying that the dentist -- a man I had never met before I went in for the procedure -- had gone over the specifics of the procedure with me, and then acting like I was being unreasonable and irrational for refusing to sign the consent form until the dentist came in and discussed it with me. 2. Billed me for a procedure on the theory that it was not covered by my insurance. Billed my insurance AFTER I paid for it in full on an FSA card.

When my FSA put me on the hook for the amount Silverado Dental had been paid TWICE for, I called to see what was going on. I was informed by the office staff that a) it's their procedure to bill insurance after all procedures, even ones that have been paid and b) they "didn't know" that the procedure was now covered thanks to a change in my insurance.

When I asked them when the last time they checked to see what my insurance would cover, they told me 2018, when I became a patient. The procedure was done in 2021. They hadn't checked what my insurance would cover in THREE FREAKING YEARS. I was then told by the office staff that it was *my* responsibility to inform them of what my insurance would cover.

I would strongly recommend that patients here a) not make payments in full, lest that come back to bite you when your insurance covers more of it than you think and b) ask when the last time they checked what your insurance coverage was before you sign on any dotted lines. My previous dentist would check with my insurance before every single procedure to see if it was covered. I didn't realize that was the exception, not the rule.

Truly top notch care and professionalism from the staff to hygienists to dentists. They have a positive attitude and don't push expensive procedures, but they give you options. Best dentists we've ever had and that's across a couple of metropolitan areas.

Dr. Ringard has been the best and most empathetic dentist for my special needs. He was a miracle worker for me. My family and I moved from Napa, CA 4 years ago, and now live in Virginia. There is not another dentist I ever want to go to and I will honestly consider flying cross country for any treatment I may need. I highly recommend this dentist! Karen Leak 707-39-3872
