Thorough Initial Exam: We know that orthodontics is a big decision, so we want you to make that decision with as much information as possible. We offer comfortable, obligation-free consultation appointments that help you learn more about orthodontic treatment, as well as get a better idea what your or your child's orthodontic needs might be.
Our staff is uniquely trained and highly skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and multiple certifications, and each one of our team members has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care.
Dr. Shok was born in Dubois, Pennsylvania and graduated from Central Christian High School, located just outside of town. He attended Penn State University, where he attained a B.S. degree in Biology. Dr. Shok was then accepted at the University of Pittsburgh Dental School and received his Doctorate Degree with Honors in 1978.
At Dr. Shok's office, we are dedicated to being the premier orthodontic practice in Northwestern Pennsylvania. To succeed at this endeavor, we incorporate the highest technology into a friendly, caring and professional environment. I had braces for a couple of years when I was in elementary school. After braces, I wore a retainer for awhile. I have decent memories of going in there. The staff was friendly, and always remember the talking parrot! I remember being in the back, where I believe they had beautiful fish tanks. I remember going in for appointments, where they did things like 'tighten them' and put on colorful rubber bands.
Remember having some sore teeth at times and needing to take some medicine to feel better. Overall, am glad I had them and went there! Believe it helped me get straighter teeth and a nice smile still with me today! The bar on the bottom teeth has since popped off, but still feel things are okay! As a child, I felt comfortable going in there, which is a definite plus!

I was a patient of Dr. Shok's almost 25 years ago. I still get compliments on how nice my teeth look. I am now a mother of 3 and my oldest son is currently in treatment. The staff are super friendly and we love going to the appointments. I couldn't be more satisfied with the care and treatment we have received and if my other two boys were to need orthodontic care there is no other orthodontist I would trust more to do it than Dr. Shok. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an orthodontist. -Kelly T.

I have worked for Dr. Shok for many years. Dr. Shok has done alot for the community. There are always contests and fun things to join in the office. In all my years I have seen so many beautiful changes, and what makes it a awesome place to work is when these patients come back years later and their smiles are still amazing.

I had a great experience at Dr. Shok, Orthodontics. The staff was always prompt and friendly and my smile is absolutely beautiful! I'm so thankful for each of the staff members for always being accommodating and knowledgeable to keep the brace period as short as possible. My teeth look fantastic, I can't stop looking at them!
