If you have severe pain in your mouth, swelling of the gums, increased sensitivity to hot or cold, or you've noticed a darkening tooth, these are all signs that your tooth's pulp has become infected or is inflamed. Root canal therapy can save a tooth whose pulp is damaged before it's too late. When you come into our office, we will use the panoramic X-ray to look at what's going on inside of your mouth and teeth. This way we can diagnose you and get you on the right path for treatment. One advantage of the panoramic X-ray is how simple it is.
SHEL Dental of Norwalk, CT is here to help you if you are having symptoms of gingivitis. Gingivitis happens as a result of plaque buildup that irritates your gums, which cause redness, swelling, and also bleeding in your mouth. If you catch the problem early, gingivitis treatment can be fairly simple.

Dr. Joe and Staff are excellent friendly and very professional. I had a serious tooth infection which was cured by Dr Joe. It took a few visits because of the nature of the infection. His office observed the CDC-Covid-19 protocol at all times. Great job. . I highly recommend Shel Dental and I will continue going there for all future Dental care

I came here for a cleaning because it was the soonest one I could find under my insurance. I felt the cleaning was rushed / less thorough than ones I've had in the past. The dentist told me that I had four cavities. This was without even having x-rays taken. Having read a prior yelp review where an individual said the dentist told him he had six cavities, only to be checked out by another dentist who said no, he did not have any cavities, I was extremely skeptical.
When I asked about the severity of my cavities, the dentist's response was very unclear. He just told me to make an appointment to come back in to fill them. Today I had a consultation with another dentist who, like the prior reviewer, told me that I did not have any cavities. Beware of this dentist at all costs. Very untrustworthy and clearly trying to make profit off of unnecessary procedures.

I went here as a new patient on Memorial Day when I was in a bind and had a chipped front tooth. I was so impressed! Everyone at the office was very nice and welcoming, and Dr. Yakuboff saw me immediately and fixed my chipped tooth quickly. My tooth looked GREAT and I am so happy with the results. I left there very happy. I highly recommend this dental practice!

After being a patient of Dr Joseph for the past 15+ years I must say him and his staff are the most caring and understanding professionals I've every come across. Here is a short story about their human nature. 6 weeks ago I was on my way to the office for my cleaning. I got a call from my wife where she said it's time and her water broke.
I pulled off the highway, called the office to cancel and went home to my wife. After all was said and done, my very next interaction with the office turned out to be all about the baby and health of both mommy and baby. I was so appreciative and grateful to see a business not putting their business first but people first. They are great people and that's why both my family and extended family go Shel Dental.

Dr Avi Malkis DDS I could not have asked for a more professional, talented dentist he not only did a beyond exceptional job on 8 caps, working with my Insurance company. Dr. Avi Malkis and his staff are a joy to be around. I have seen at least 5 dentists in this area and I can say from my experience at my age that he has been the best dentist that I have had the pleasure to deal with. My family and I have used Dr, Malkis fir 4 years. Beyond 5* for sure!

I decided to try this dentist office out because it is right next to my favorite hair salon (majesta) and I saw that you could make appointments online which I love! I made an appointment online for the next day and it was quick and easy. Dr. Yakuboff is sooo nice and is very gentle and asks if you are ok and makes sure he is not hurting you unlike some dentists. My appointment was for 5pm and they took me right in just at 5 with no waiting around.
