Sam Muslin DDS; MAGD Corrects Underbites, Overbites, Misaligned Jaws, Open Bites, Crossbites, TMJ Pain, in as little as two weeks without Orthodontics or Surgery and no downtime. Crooked Bites, Underbites, Overbites, Small Teeth, Not Sleeping Well, Suffering from TMJ, Jaw Pain, Headaches, Neck Pain, and more. Anti-Aging Face Lift Dentistry is about your jawline, your facial profile, and your health.

You get results that benefit you all the time, not only when you smile. Face Lift Dentistry is a comprehensive functional and aesthetic transformation that goes above and beyond cosmetic dentistry and porcelain veneers.
Services
The reason that VENLAY Restoration have advantages over porcelain crowns and porcelain veneers is that the healthy tooth enamel does not need to be ground down. When bite correction and advanced anti-aging dentistry is the goal, the VENLAY restoration combined with the Face Lift Dentistry method, is a better choice over the old method using porcelain veneers and crowns.
A misaligned or crooked jaw can lead to physical and emotional problems and hamper people to enjoy life to its full potential. All too often, jaw misalignment is camouflaged with cosmetic dentistry, which can not solve the problem. Orthodontic therapy options such as braces, clear aligners, expanders, reverse-pull face masks, and jaw surgery is either too invasive or take far too long, which in the end may or may not correct the problem.
The shapes of our faces are not idealized because most of us do not have the best bite position and jaw position for our facial structure, causing facial disharmony. We could have a small looking chin or a short round aging face or head and neck stress all due to the wrong bite position. With "total optimization" using the Face Lift Dentistry method, the patient has less bite strain, less neck tension, less facial tension, less jaw pain, whiter teeth, better facial proportions, a wider smile and an improved facial profile.
Because we are a society that tends to focus on what we can see, the notion of aging physically from the inside out can be pretty daunting. Traditional Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry will focus on the smile that can be seen but there are no real health benefits. Traditional dentistry fixes individual teeth by removing the decay, extracting hopeless teeth, placing porcelain crowns, fillings, and dental implants. This is a patchwork-type approach that does not handle the issue that we are living decades longer.

If you have been told you need jaw surgery, there are other options! Run don't walk to Dr. Sam Muslin's office. This is not a paid review. The following is my own opinion and story: I have been told my entire life the only way to fix my class 3 underbite was with jaw surgery, but I was too scared and worried I would not like the results and did not want to be out of commission with my sales job for 2 years.

I had been researching other options for about 10 years but only Dr. Muslins name came up. I had been praying and hoping that dentistry would evolve and I could find somewhere in New York that would do something similar, but after years of feeling stressed about my worsening underbite, grinding, and potential facial aging, I finally decided to bite the bullet and fly to Santa Monica and I am so beyond greatful I did. Dr. Muslins Office is no frills and very basic, he is humble as can be which gives you a sense of confidence that this is not the type of dentist or office to rip you off. Dr. Muslin was not only patient with me during my consultation and had the best bedside manner, but you can tell he is so passionate about his work.

I was emotional given my frusturation with my looks and he and the rest of the staff were truly comforting. He will tell you right away if you are a good candidate and will be very honest about what he can and can't do, but do not let the perfect outweigh the good. While he will tell you he is not god, he comes as close as you can get and probably even closer than a surgeon putting you through jaw surgery.

The process may seem costly, but the value is there. There is no recovery time, no grinding down the teeth and no needles for numbing. The amount of people who have come up to me to tell me how beautiful my smile is, is astouding and I could not be happier. Building a new bite can be scary at first (Dr. Muslin measures your jaw to see what your optimal position will be and builds the porcelin venlays to accomodate you - thes go over your natural teeth), you have to get used to speaking and eating for a few days- a couple weeks, but trust the process you will adjust. Dr. Muslin has you come in twice a day every day to check on you and make sure everything is working properly. It is so important not to miss these days. Dr. Muslin is an inventor and the future of dentistry and worth every penny.

I am a dentist who graduated from a prominent California Dental School in 2020. I recently consulted Sam Muslin, DDS for purely cosmetic reasons to treat my underbite. Dr. Muslin advertises and markets non-invasive dentistry to treat malocclusion cases without orthodontics, surgery, anesthetics, or the use of temporaries. I had no prior TMD, or problems in eating or speaking before Dr. Muslin cemented 28 of his Venlays which impaired my eating, speaking, and caused TMD. Dr. Muslin placed 28 of his "Venlays" on me in 2 days.

A full mouth rehabilitation like mine ordinarily would take many more visits by a skilled prosthodontist. The American Dental Association accredits prosthodontists as restorative dentistry specialists. Dr. Muslin is a general dentist who lacks the three years of postgraduate dental training prosthodontist specialists obtain. I expected after receiving a permanent full mouth rehab, which Dr. Muslin represented to be thoroughly tested, that there would only be minor adjustments to achieve functionality and esthetics.

This was far from reality in my case. Shortly after Dr. Muslin cemented my 28 Venlays, I developed severe headaches, myofascial pain, TMD, difficulty in eating and speaking, all of which persisted even after his multiple excessive bite adjustments. Dr. Muslin caused irreversible damage to at least 11 of my teeth. Dr. Muslin denied responsibility for damaging my gums resulting from his leaving excess cement between my teeth after he cemented his Venlays. Instead, he blamed the cause of my bleeding gums on my oral hygiene. Dr. Muslin's treatment caused the worst dental state I have ever been in my entire life.

My care has since been taken over by a prosthodontist and orofacial pain specialist. Each diagnosed overcontoured restorations impeding flossing, excessive VDO (Vertical Dimension of Occlusion), excessively ground down restorations, malocclusion, and TMD. No matter how many more bite adjustments Dr. Muslin would have done, Dr. Muslin could not have restored me to my previously stable painless condition. Dr. Muslin's excessive bite adjustments flattened the biting surfaces of his Venlays which impaired my chewing efficiency.

When I requested Dr. Muslin compensate me for the damage he caused me, Dr. Muslin offered to refund my money ($77,777). But in return I would have to sign a Liability Release form that would (a) terminate our doctor patient relationship (b) require confidentiality, (c) forbid me to report Dr. Muslin to any organization, and (d) would not speak of his name and his treatment to any party.

I refused to sign his Release to gag me. Instead, I wish to encourage other patients to obtain second opinions before potentially risking ill-designed and maloccluding restorations from Dr. Muslin. This is the reason for my review. The care Dr. Muslin delivers should have been what a careful, prudent, and skillful prosthodontist would deliver. This means practicing with current evidence-based peer reviewed research and Guidelines of American Dental Association and its specialties. Dr. Muslin has not published peer reviewed research to validate the efficacy of his treatment which he gimmickly self-terms as a "Dental Facelift." I have learned the hard way that Dr. Muslin's Facelift Dentistry is too good to be true.

I recommend before proceeding with Dr. Muslin to obtain a second opinion from a prosthodontist dentist specialist who is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists. Website: gotoapro.org

Sorry, that's a terrible excuse for your poor customer service skills. That's just bad behavior.

The best dentist on the planet. People from all over the world know who he is. He transforms faces to be more attractive through the teeth. He did the most insignificant changes to my teeth and everyone was telling me I had a beautiful smile after that. He's a perfectionist. cannot make this up. He is gods gift to teeth.

I had a great experience during my consultation with Dr. Muslin. He and his assistant were so thorough explaining the whole procedure. The consultation was $100, which they tell you about when you call to make an appointment. Unfortunately, spending over 50k on just my top arch is way out of my budget. Yes, the treatment has a hefty price tag but it really is an investment in your over all appearance and health. So if you are rich and have that kind of money, it seems like it is totally worth it.

Forgot to do my review awhile back but since I got an email recently, I was highly disappointed with the service. I waited an hour to be seen even though I arrived right on time. I Paid $100 for a consultation. no for him to put cotton on each side of my teeth, bite down and say "this what you will look like" and that was that. yeah I could've done that at home. oh well I get what I paid for thank you for your time though

Best in the business that I have found. Looking forward to the day that I can pull the trigger and afford the procedures. He is always ahead of the curve and you can guarantee that you will be happy with your results. Price point is only thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars. But I guess if you want the best you have to pay for the best.

Dr. Muslin does an incredible job with crowns and veneers. I had a bite correction and a whole mouth (every single tooth) reconstruction done by him. His work is amazing, which is why I chose to go to him for my dental work (this was after several consults with other cosmetic/reconstructive dentists). Dr. Muslin's work and reputation stood out above the rest.

My before and after dental work is nothing short of astounding! Dr. Muslin is as much an artist as he is a cosmetic dentist. If you truly want to have the best looking teeth and smile, go see him. You will not be disappointed with the results.

Awful, arrogant man. He didn't apologize for keeping me waiting for almost an hour, and had an argument with his nurse while I was sitting in the consulting room. Outrageous prices and a very dated, unpleasant office environment. Avoid!

Dr. Muslin is wonderful. He gave me his honest opinion, and gave me different options ranging from least expensive to most expensive. I inquired about veneers to correct my front gap, and uneven sized front teeth. He didn't pressure me do anything or upsell, which I really appreciated. He told me the most effective would be if I got a referral to get braces on, which would cost a lot less than actual veneers.

Most dentists I have gone to have been less than honest. I will be returning here from now on! The services I got done here were teeth whitening and also annual cleaning. I would highly recommend this place!

After looking around my area for dentists I came across Dr. Muslin who I went to for general dentistry vs. cosmetic dentistry so I can only speak from that point of view, however it looks like he is an amazing cosmetic dentist. I had X-rays and a mouthguard made for me during my visit. First thoughts, I came in and nobody was waiting around like people usually are when you go to a doctors office.

The front office staff seemed really happy to be at work and greeted me. I don't think i was even able to sit down before i went to the back (such a relief, I hate waiting when i have a scheduled appointment). Once in the dentist chair I noticed A LOT of different things about his office that i don't think i have ever seen at a doctors or dentists office before. Tv's on the ceiling with headphones, private rooms, and elbow/foot electronic door openers. I'm half germ-a-phobic so when i noticed that they treated everything as if i was going into a surgery room it was reassuring that they take their practice seriously.

I asked some more questions to "Katie" and found out that the rooms are all lead lined to prevent spraying of radiation and each room had its own ventilation system. I'm not sure this is standard in any other dentist/doctors office but based on how this place differed from my traditional experiences i would say its not. Now i guess i have some questions to ask my other doctors next time i see them!

Bottom line, the place seemed top notch. My X-rays are well X-rays, I liked the lead walls, and my mouthguard seems to be doing the job and fits without any issues. All the staff was extremely friendly, I would recommend this place to anyone else in the area. Oh! Last thing which is huge for anyone in LA, there is parking right outside! I mean you literally walk 20 feet to the door and don't have to pay for parking!

Dr Muslin fixed my TMJ and that of my sister. He is simply the best there is. Would not consider using anyone else. I get complements on my teeth all the time, and the whole mouth was done in just 4 visits! Painless injections too! Thank you Dr Muslin!

Sure! The doctor is great, the procedure for correcting overbite, as presented, is outstanding. But the price.my jaw dropped permanently and fixed itself when I heard the 80K price tag. Of course that was for a full mouth reconstruction. I wish I had seen Yelp reviews before I took my 460 mile round trip for consultation.

I've been a patient of Dr Muslin's now for well over 10 years. I can say without a doubt he is simply the best around! His staff is highly trained, knowledgeable, kind and welcoming, the office is comfortable, clean and centrally located in Santa Monica. His work is simply the best in both cosmetic and general dentistry. I'd also be remiss not to mention the DENTAL HYGIENISTS (all of them are wonderful)!

However my (French) hygienist INGRID, is so charming and such a joy. She always does a the most meticulous and thorough job on every cleaning. My teeth are never as smooth and SPARKLING! than after one of her cleanings. She's absolutely wonderful! Throughout the years, I've sent numerous referrals to Dr. Muslin, many of whom later moved out of state or country, yet still all return for semi-annual visits (he's that good)! I'm generally not a fan of most doctor visits (dental + medical) but I do love this office and wanted to share.

I have seen some incredible transformations done by Dr. Muslin (including my own) and can say with fair certainty, once you meet Dr. Muslin, his team and see what they'll be able to do for you (especially if you have cosmetic or difficult dental work ahead) you'll soon be a patient as well. Cheers!

Dr Muslin is fantastic! My sisters and I all go to him for our general dentistry and it's been great. He's so nice and caring and informative. He takes the time to talk to you and answer all questions and concerns. His staff are all so friendly and they seem to get to know their clients fairly well. Certain procedures can be pretty pricey when it comes to the extra stuff beyond teeth cleaning, but he's a one of a kind doctor who offers unique services. Nice office, great location, and plenty of parking.

Sharing is Caring, when I have a good experience with someone or something that made a difference in my life, I would love to share it with others. What I have come to like about this office is how clean it is every time I go there. Every room has a sliding glass door that makes this office so safe and quite that it is relaxing. The TV's on the ceiling are something that I have never seen before and they are a real helpful addition even when getting my teeth clean.

This is a man that cares about his patients and had done more than most dentists to make the experience of his office a good one. Thank You Dr. Muslin, you are appreciated. have had a lot of dental work done in my life and all I can say is that he may be the most highly skilled dentist that I have ever had work on me. He is fast and painless and he uses a "sonic" needle that doesn't hurt. It was hard to believe that he gave me a shot. He explained to me that putting a vibration on the needle tip helps it slide in easier with less force. Thank You Dr. Muslin,

I have been a patient of Dr. Muslin off and on for over 20 years. He is a phenomenal dentist. Over the years I have referred many patients to him including my husband who had Face Lift Dentistry done almost 2 years ago. Every experience I have had in that office has been far and beyond what other dentist have to offer. I have live all over the US and, as a consequence, I have had to go to many dentists.

When I was 18 I decided to get veneers on my upper front teeth by Dr. Muslin. They are so well done a couple of dentist didn't realize that my veneers where not my real teeth until about halfway through the exam. one even looked at X-rays. I have never had any problems with any of the dentistry done by Dr. Muslin. Never has any dentist looked at my old fillings or porcelain work and recommended it be done over or indicated that any of it was done improperly.

I am now in my mid 30s. What I also think speaks to Dr. Muslin's character as a doctor and as a professional is that after my husband had his Face Lift Dentistry done, I was envious of his new teeth and how good he felt. I made an appointment to consult with Dr. Muslin about getting the work done myself. Dr. Muslin listened to what I was wanting and did a full work up to look at my jaw position, bite, and speech.

He then told me not to do it. There was no medical need for me to have bite restoration done. I don't have neck pain, headaches, chewing or biting issues, no speech or hearing problems, in spite of my 7 month old and 2 year old sons I have no sleep or teeth grinding problems, and my jaw joint wasn't over closed. I really thought that showed real restraint on his part.

He said I could get some cosmetic benefits from the procedure but that the cost benefit wasn't there and that I should wait. If down the line I start having issues we can revisit doing the work. It wish every doctor would exercise that kind of integrity.

I am now in the process of working out my major dental issues with Dr Sam Muslin. I will update my reviews positive or negative as soon as I get this hopefully resolved. I think it is essential that us Yelpers share there dental & medical experiences with each other. My intention for writing such a negative review previously about Sam Muslin was because I had a negative experience.

I am going to be positive that he will address my problems & I will end up reviewing a great review in the end. Stay tuned! On a positive note; Sam Muslin is a nice friendly person but, this is not a personality contest! The staff are welcoming, friendly & accommodating at least. My update is he sucks!
