A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial visit.
Examination of diagnostic x-rays: Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer. Gum disease evaluation: Check the gums and bone levels around teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.
Periodontal disease is diagnosed by your dentist or dental hygienist during a periodontal examination. This type of exam should always be part of your regular dental check-up. A periodontal probe is gently used to measure the pocket or space between the tooth and the gums. The depth of a healthy sulcus measures 1-3mm and does note bleed.

I recently started coming to Riverwalk Dentistry as a new patient and Dr. Kats has been so thorough, knowledgeable, and personable! Shelby has also been great and frequently checks in to make sure I'm doing okay when I'm in the chair. Maureen and Jocelyn at the front desk have also been wonderful, as well as the new guy (I'm sorry I don't know his name but he's great!) The service has been great and the people are even better, 10/10 recommend!

Best dentistry around. I've never had such a great experience from the front desk / prepping for my first appointment to the cleaning to the dentist consult. Dr. Kats, Shelby, and Chrystal were all super informative and I love the holistic / well-rounded approach they use here. (They looked at my face muscles and asked about my breathing and sleep which I've never been asked about at a dentist's office.) Would definitely recommend this group to anyone!

I would leave 10 stars if I could. I started going to Riverwalk Dentistry a year and a half ago after Dr. Lueck was referred to me. Every interaction has been outstanding! I've been there for a crown, filling, cleaning, exam, and soon, the final step in what has been a lengthy journey to a dental implant. The entire staff regularly go above and beyond to help meet the needs of their patients with scheduling, billing, and providing dental care you can trust. They take pride in their work and it shows. Highly recommend!

Had my "usual" semiannual cleaning with Kimberly today. She is an "awesome" hygienist. Very professional, knowledgeable and thorough with the entire process. I don't normally "rave" about a routine cleaning; but the service, attentiveness and genuine interest demonstrated by Kimberly was worth noting publicly. Great job Kimberly and Riverwalk! See you in 6 months!

My name is Jenny N and I have worked as a temp hygienist for Dr Lueck and Dr Sawatzke. The doctors and staff have been a pleasure to work with and happy to help again. The office is organized, great communication between the doctors and team, and good environment to work in. You get an hour for the dental cleanings which gives you more than enough time to work with patients. The patients were also wonderful and mostly all have a long history with the practice. Highly recommend Riverwalk Dentistry as your primary dentist!

I love this dentist practice! My husband and I have been patients there for almost 20 years and have always found the care is exceptional on all platforms of support. Dr. Lueck provides not only the highest quality dental work needs and preventive care, but she also pairs it with a good knowledge share thorough out all visits.
