Redwood Endodontics We combine technology with our training and years of experience to ensure that you will receive the best care possible. Not only do we employ the latest technology in our office, but we are in a multi-specialty building with the other five major dental specialties all occupying the same building. We always work closely with the referring general dentist, who oversees the patients overall treatment plan and long term dental care, however, sometimes upon consulting with the dentist, it is determined that the patient should have a consultation/evaluation from another specialist.

A root canal procedure is used to save an abscessed tooth by removing the dental pulp (nerve) after the tooth is dead or has had the pulp exposed due to cavities or fractures. After the pulp is removed and any infection has been resolved, the hollow area left behind after the nerve is removed is filled in with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha.
Do not eat anything on the side on your mouth that received treatment until the numbness wears off. This will prevent you from biting your cheek or tongue. If the opening in your tooth was restored with a temporary filling material, it is not unusual for a thin layer to wear off in-between appointments.

I had a root canal preformed the same day of my initial visit and was amazed by the quality of work. I had the impression it was supposed to hurt and was surprised that the most painful thing was probobly holding my mouth open. Literally will never fear a root canal again. I recommend this place as prompt with care and very highly skilled.

I've received 2 root canals in the space of a year and a half from Dr. Howard and they have both gone smoothly and successfully. He is very expert but also kind and careful. Thank you very much for the good work you do so I can again be pain-free in my mouth. I definitely recommend Dr. Howard!

I was referred to Dr. Howard for a root canal and boy am I glad I was! Fastest and best (weird, I know) root canal ever. Everything was so simple and easy. Dr. Howard and everyone working with him listened to me, understood my pain and concerns and took care of me immediately. I hope I don't have ti come back (because that means I don't have more dental issues) but if I need a root canal, i know where I'm going! I'd recommend coming here if you need to or are referred here. You are in good hands.

I was referred to Dr. Howard by my regular dentist because of and Root Canal issue. Everyone in the office was helpful and professional. My initial visit was informative and after learning a surgery was needed Dr. Howard offered to do it the same day in the evening, which didn't work for me. After scheduling the initial surgery I had to reschedule.

The office was very helpful in doing so. Dr. Howard and his assistant did a great job getting me prepped. The actual surgery went well and he was able to repair the issue in a timely manner and smoothly all things considered. During the surgery my lower lip accidentally was buggered up with one of his tools. That isn't necessarily a positive, but accidents do happen. That said, they were more than gracious in helping me deal with that, which let me know they really cared about me as a patient. I'd recommend them.

Hands down the best dental/endodontics clinic I have been to. The staff were very friendly and professional. They let me know all payment options/prices up front, no beating around the bush or hidden information. I requested an emergency appointment because I was in pain and the office manager was able to squeeze me in next day. I then received a dental procedure I have never had and it went flawlessly without pain (yay). Definitely suggest them for any dental procedures needed.

Just had a root canal from Dr Howard. I had the worst experiences as a kid and hate dentists so getting a root canal was insult to injury in my mind. Dr. Howard was awesome. Made me feel comfortable from the second he walked in. Didn't feel a single thing. I'd recommend him to anyone who needs a root canal! If you've been putting one off just schedule with him already. You won't regret it.

Dental work was done great. Was seen the same day I went in for a consult. I had a root canal that had been started at my dentist and had been redone a couple times and it would not quit hurting so I was referred here for an apicoectomy. Everything was explained and It was done in an hour. I was very comfortable during the procedure.

Incredible! When my pain began, I tried everything in my arsenal. Clove is highly effective. My dentist had already performed a root canal. However, root canals can fail and mine had, within a year. I scheduled an appointment with Dr Howard @Redwood Endo. 2 teeth; a repeat root canal and a Apicoectomy. All care was SO professional and cost was surprisingly reasonable. I highly recommend this Office.

I went in three times to Dr. Pogue and he explained in detail what procedures to be done and why. He put in a much stronger post to replace a failed root canal and saved this tooth. One other time he recommended a procedure my own Dentist could do at a lower price. My Insurance took care of a lot of the costs.

Great! I went in for oral surgery, (root canal.) I was quoted under my insurance and received an appointment for a few days later. The doctor was very helpful in explaining the procedure, and the whole surgery went smooth, pain free. It only took about 15 minutes, which was 2 hours less than expected at other endodontics. My favorite thing was that the doctor was available 24/7 after my surgery. I simply called if I had any questions.
