Dr. Rauk was born in Fargo, North Dakota. She grew up in Hawley, Minnesota, and then at the age of ten, her family moved to Moorhead, where she graduated from high school. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. This is where she met her husband, Jason.

Dr Rauk was recommended to me by a friend when I expressed concerns that I thought my son had oral ties. While I wasn't having a ton of pain with nursing, my son was extremely colicky, very gassy, had difficulties opening his mouth wide enough to nurse, couldn't go more than 1.5-2 hours without feeding and wasn't sleeping well at night. They were able to get me in quickly, and the evaluation was so thorough.
I felt like I was being heard, which isn't something that happens often when talking about ties, especially since they weren't a "thing" when I was a kid. Dr Rauk had all of the time in the world to answer questions and explain everything, and we were able to get the procedure done that same day which I appreciated since we had to drive over 2 hours to get there.
The evening of the procedure Dr Rauk called me to check in, which is something I appreciated soo much. The release has made a world of difference for my son. In the following 4 weeks after the procedure he went from sleeping 2 hours to 6-7 per night and is no longer colicky or seeming to be in pain. I couldn't recommend Dr Rauk enough!

I had a wonderful experience here! I was super nervous because my 6 week old baby girl had a lip and tongue tie. But they were making sure me and my baby were very well taken care off. Everything was explained really well, and they made me feel very comfortable because i was very hesitant about the procedure and i was just scared about any pain my baby would have.
The procedure only lasted a few minutes and they had me wait in a comfortable room so i could nurse my little one right away. It seemed like she didn't even feel a thing! ( I felt a little embarrassed cause i was crying lol) but my baby was a bigger girl then i was haha! Nursing went so much better after that and she seems to relax much more now. Her spitting has lessened and overall seems way happier! Thank you sooo much to all the lovely ladies at rauk family dentistry for making this such a wonderful experience!

My second born gained weight like normal and I had no pain while nursing, but at about 3 weeks my momma instincts kicked in because she clicked as she fed, never seemed satisfied after feedings and fed frequently. This can be a scary decision at first, but with these professionals, I can say you're in AMAZING hands. I could feel that they truly cared for the success of me and my little one as they were patient, reassuring, and even followed up the night after the procedure. Very blessed to have had the involvement of someone great like Kim and Katrina!

Dr. Rauk is amazing! Our midwife advised us that our daughter had a tongue and lip tie when she was born and advised we see a dentist asap. We chose Dr. Rauk because she performed the revision with a laser. She took the time to explain everything to us and make sure we were comfortable with everything before performing the procedure. If you are struggling with nursing your baby, do not hesitate! Consult with Dr. Rauk, we are so grateful we did!

Dr. Rauk and staff is our preferred dentist for lip and tongue tie release. She did an amazing job with our 5 week old daughter, she took a through history, explained what symptoms she was experiencing and validated the problems my daughter was experiencing and the breastfeeding issues I was having. They took there time to explain tongue tie to me and my husband, they were able to do the procedure the same day which only took a few seconds and we were able to breastfeed right afterwards. The home stretches were simple and easy to follow. Dr. Rauk thank you so much for making our breastfeeding story a success!

Finding Rauk Family Dentistry has been the best thing I could ever do for my teeth. It's like going to a dental spa! Everyone takes the time to explain what they are doing and why. Dr. Rauk takes the long view in regards to my dental health, and went over my x-rays with me, showing me areas to watch when flossing and brushing. I highly recommend Rauk Family Dentistry. They are the best!

I worked for Dr. Kim Rauk and recently retired. I tell people all the time what a great dentist she is! There are many dentists in Alexandria but Kim is BY FAR the BEST. She not only has all of the updated equipment, materials and labs but also has a true passion for dentistry. Dr. Rauk is also AMAZING with kids If you are new to the area OR just looking for better dental results I highly recommend calling to meet her and her FUN team. They will all take good care of you.

I am so thankful that I have Dr. Rauk and her team taking care of my dental needs! Dr. Rauk and her staff's attention to detail and giving you the best outcome is beyond superior. Good enough or just fine is not even going to happen.it's going to be PERFECT! I used to have a real fear of going to the dentist, well, I'm here to tell you, that is not the case with Dr. Kim!
I don't even feel her injecting the numbing medicine. She is very gentle and does not want you to have an unpleasant experience. She is beyond patient and thorough, very well educated and is devoted to her patients long term dental health. Dr. Rauk has given me a beautiful smile and I can't thank her enough!
