From a routine exam and cleaning to full-mouth rehabilitation, our practice is equipped to handle all of your dental needs. Air abrasion is a minimally invasive technology that offers an alternative method for removing decay from teeth. It may also be used to prepare the surface of a tooth for a bonding procedure, the application of sealants, or for removal of certain stains and discolorations of the tooth enamel. Air abrasion operates like a mini sandblaster emitting a precise stream of fine particles that can be aimed at the affected areas of the tooth.
Dr. Peter A. Tzendzalian, DDS is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, School of Dentistry Class of 2000. Upon completing his doctorate, Dr. Tzendzalian entered a 2-year post-doctoral residency in Oral Medicine* at UNC Hospitals. During this residency period, Dr. Tzendzalian perfected his skills in every aspect of General Dentistry including sedation, operating room dentistry, special needs children and adults, elderly, veterans, and those with complex medical histories.Dr. Tzendzalian's dual passions for dentistry and excellence have translated into a state-of-the-art dental office where he creates and maintains Durham's most confident and beautiful smiles!

Dr. T is intelligent, skilled, kind, and passionate about teeth. As a third generation dentist, he cares so much about teeth AND his clients. He is always up on the latest technology which makes your visit smoother. He and his wife Kristen have a wonderful working relationship that is inviting. Kristen is the office manager and she knows her stuff!
I started seeing Dr. T around 2014 after another dentist had been doing a very poor job keeping my mouth healthy. His practice changed my dental care completely. I got a full mouth of work done and left every time feeling uplifted. He's like a motivational speaker, dentist, and minister all in one. Since I've been visiting this practice, my teeth and gums have done a full 180 from where I started and I was someone who had 6 month cleanings for as long as I can remember. I've since moved to both Massachusetts and California and I still keep him as my dentist. He's that good. Go to Dr. T if you want your teeth to last you a lifetime.

Love Dr. T, Kristen, and the Aesthetic Oral Health team! Here's my story. My wife was a patient of Dr. T before we married and she thought highly of him and his work. BUT.based on what she told me, I thought he was a bit overboard on services and price. I reluctantly went for a visit and my first cleaning with him. I left with a fresh mouth and sparkling smile and a 5 year dental plan to deal with old fillings and the underlying decay.
That was scary. And expensive. My initial thoughts were confirmed. After a few more appointments, I came to fully realize that Dr. T is not only a great human being but a fantastic dentist. He cares more about my teeth and oral health than I do and he is not afraid to let you know what it will take to make the most of what god gave us. We've completed the plan, my old silver/amalgam fillings are gone, all issues have been resolved, and I have a perfect looking set of chompers to show for it.
He was committed to making sure my teeth would last another 40 years and maintained as much of my original enamel as possible to ensure the best integrity. His office is high tech - he took 3D videos of my teeth (or what was left of them after clean up), milled onlays in the next room while I watched movies, and I left with perfect new teeth after every appointment. No waiting, no temporaries, no BS. I would happily do it all over again. And I am thankful for the friendship we have built over the years.

The Drs. Tzendzalian came highly recommended to me by other patients of theirs. At my first visit, I was skeptical of the extensive recommendations for my future dental care. After all, I had had six decades of cleanings, periodontal treatments, x-rays, fillings, extractions, bridges---how could I need extensive care now? I felt it was overkill. Now two years later with a whole new perspective on my dental health, I appreciate the care and concern of the Drs. T.
This practice uses the highest, most up-to-date technology that I have experienced. They both spend all the time it takes to explain how and why I need procedures. I have not had this kind of care. Now in my geriatric years, I am getting a new lease on my dental life. Thank you, Drs. T. and your faithful assistant for caring for me.

We love them, they were a Godsent for us. We have been coming in for years. They always take care of our whole family. Everyone is very welcoming and very professional. The doctor is very gentle and it makes you feel at home. His work has always been impeccable. They always help you relax and go above and beyond. We highly recommend them for all your dental needs. I recently completed a whole mouth reconstruction by Dr. T. and Kristin and it's hard to put into words just how impressed I am with the results. I should have done this 10 years ago! Very simply, Dr. T. Is the best in the business, a true craftsman, and an even better man. His care and compassion for his patients is second to none. If you want best in class work and unmatched precision, Dr. T. is your only choice.

Every interaction with Dr. T and his staff has been incredible. They are flexible, friendly, honest, trustworthy and kind. I'm not sure what else you could want in a dentist. They have made me feel like family and walked me through every option and care scenario for my dental issue. Most importantly, as someone who has always searched for the right fit in a dentist and dental office, it's so very nice to find a practice that is 100% patient first and focuses so intently on delivering a level of care that is beyond that of many of their contemporaries.
The office setting is welcoming, the staff is phenomenal, and Dr. T is smart, kind, patient, and his dedication to his craft is apparent in the care he delivers. I never thought I'd look forward to visiting the dentist. Thank you Dr. T for all you've done (and continue to do) for me!

Dr T and his staff are beyond incredible. They give undivided attention to each patient and truly care for each individual on a personal level. Dr. T recognized early on that I had been looked over by other dentists in the past and diagnosed me with having root resorption. I have been a patient of Dr. T's since 2006. Since that first phone call (an emergency extraction which the entire staff stayed after hours for), he and his wonderful wife, Kristin have been more than kind and gracious to me. Over the years, they've handled each issue with sensitivity and compassion. The quality of the dental work done has been exemplary.
I've been so impressed with their ability to keep up with and employ the latest technology. When it comes to dental care, pain has always been a major concern for me. With each visit, I have become less and less anxious.
