Orthodontic treatment differs from dental insurance in that most insurance companies limit the amount of orthodontic benefits they will pay.

Dr. Nowlin's office is impressive from the moment you walk in the door. There are two receptionists to politely and promptly greet you, and get you checked in. The wait was under 15 minutes to be taken back. We were guided by the office manager (she does the financing, so I'm not certain of her title) to a comfortable dental chair. She made polite conversation as we waited for the doctor.
We had to wait 8-10 minutes and she apologized for the wait. Honestly I didn't even notice the wait because she made us feel right at home. Actually the whole place and the people give you a feeling like going to a friend's really clean and stylish home. Dr. Nowlin came and introduced himself. He was professional, but also friendly. My daughter was very nervous (she is 9) and uncooperative.
She wouldn't open her mouth at first and she was being super annoying. He acted like he didn't even notice. That's very impressive. Other doctors have gotten annoyed and even been rude because my daughter is so anxious about doctor's offices. And frankly I found her behavior irritating. So he does the exam and explains to me what needs to be done, and shows me why.
He also offered me a discount because insurance isn't going to pay. Then off to the finance lady's office. I was expecting high pressure sales tactics, but nope. She clearly explained my payment options (which are reasonable even on my tight budget), and told me to take it home and think it over. She gave me her card and asked me to call her when I decide.
For me, it was the greatest sales pitch of all because I won't deal with pushy people. Basically I think Nowlin is THE orthodontist. I'd like to have Invisalign and after I get my daughter's braces paid for, I plan to make an appointment for myself.

Dr. Nowlin was so good with my sweet girl. He really took time to explain to both she and I what the process would be and why he wanted to do what he had recommended. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And my son doesn't even mind going to appointments with his sister because he gets to play the video games. Highly recommend!

The staff is excellent and they actually get my teenage son to take care of his teeth.something that has eluded me for years! They are so accommodating with our schedule and so very nice and friendly. A very kid friendly environment. I am always informed with how he is progressing with his braces. I highly recommend Nowlin.

My daughter got her braces off today! 2 months early! Dr. Nowlin and the entire staff have been wonderful! Everyone is friendly, professional and it is run like a well oiled ship! If you have orthodontic needs I highly recommend this place! We have 3 more kiddos and if they need braces, you'll find us here!

Dr. Ryan Nowlin and his entire staff are incredible. Every appointment from my first consultation with Stacey to getting my braces off today was extremely enjoyable. They greeted me with a smile every time I walked in and I never had to wait once I arrived. I can't thank them enough for doing such a great job on my teeth. They look better than I could've imagined. I am looking forward to having my kids visit the Nowlin team. Thanks again to Dr. Nowlin and his entire staff. I absolutely love this orthodontic team for kids. They have a Tulsa location here and a Bixby newer location. They juggle between locations for whichever is closest to you. The team is so caring and really relate well with the kids. They offer incentives upon each appointment and games on their website that can earn you points towards gift cards. My boys love and actually look forward to our visits. They have a free consultation where they go over a plan with you that fits your timeline and budget. Give them a try!
