Our Newton office utilizes electronic claims processing (eClaims). By filing your claim electronically, information is submitted more efficiently and with fewer errors. The important thing to know about the dental microscope we use is that it enables us to obtain much higher definition and better lighting, which allows us to see significantly more detail than we'd be able to without such high magnification. We can see internal cracks in a tooth. We can also see accessory canals and other areas that someone who isn't using a microscope is unable to see or negotiate.
Jang is a Board Certified General Dentist at Newton Dentistry. Dr. Jang majored in Cellular, Molecular and Developmental Biology (BS) from the University of Washington in Seattle. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During her time at the University of Michigan, Dr. Jang was involved in research on topical fluoride applications in dental school clinic. I called Newton Dental with a late night emergency. Their answering service was attentive and helpful, and I wasn't even a current patient of theirs. A busy office, but they made time for me first thing in the morning. From the office staff to the dentist who saw me, the service and care was extraordinary. This is an incredibly shady dental practice. Dr Jang said I needed extensive dental work that did not make sense to me. I checked with another dentist who said there was clearly nothing wrong with those teeth and I needed absolutely no work whatsoever. They had previously kept demanding my I pay them in advance for future work I neither needed nor requested, offering me tiny discounts to do so. Also, most of these effusive 5 star reviews come from accounts with only 1 review. Again, shady.

The staff at Newton Dentistry are so helpful and nice. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and at ease during my entire visit. Dr. Yoon Ji Jang did excellent work and made it as painless as possible. It was an enjoyable experience. Which is something I never say about going to the dentist. I usually have high anxiety at the dentist's office. I definitely would highly recommend.

I had an implant with Dr. Amsalem and the impression and tooth we're done by Dr. Jang. It was totally painless and the tooth is a perfect fit. The assistants, Tracy, Anna, Rhonda, and Sue were super friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this practice. I know people who come here from New York to be treated and now I know why.

I love them so much! Rhonda and Tracy are amazing! Tracy is always so pleasant and always willing to work with me on explaining payments and everything. Rhonda is great and pleasant, very personable. Also, Dr. Jang is so sweet, knowledgeable and very amazing at explaining things. Dr Jang is very personable and really makes me look forward to coming back for my teeth! I have never felt more welcomed than I do coming into this office and seeing all of these lovely ladies! Keep up the amazing work!

I have gone to Newton Dentistry for awhile now; best team I've had in my whole life! From Dr. Jang who is extremely competent and caring about her patients (always asking if I'm OK or feeling any pain), to Rhonda and Sue assisting and cleaning, to Tracy taking my x-rays, to Anne explaining the breakdown of the bill and the procedures, I couldn't ask for better people taking care of me. Coming from a pharmacist/nurse, I wholeheartedly recommend Newton Dentistry because they not only care about their patients, they will devise an effective treatment plan, undergo patient teaching to help you understand oral care, and make you feel as comfortable as possible. I cannot rave enough about this dental practice! The Newton Dentistry team is the most trustworthy, positive, reliable, and welcoming practice I have ever been to. After moving cross country and stressing which practice to choose in the Boston area, I could not be any happier choosing Newton Dentistry. These ladies care immensely for every patient who walks through the door, and I am so grateful to be a patient of theirs. I had a root canal and a crown at this place. Worst experience I ever had in my life. The dentist struggled with the root canal so it took a long time (and a lot of pain for me) to get it done. But the worse was the crown. First time, the dentist got the wrong size and it didn't fit, so she had to order another one. The second one lasted just a few months and came off and broke the tooth underneath so I had to remove the tooth (at a different dental office).
I called the office and they simply ignored me. Dr Jang is nice but she is the worse dentist I ever had. I regret going to this place. It was a lot of money and time wasted and they didn't care about my lost tooth and all the trouble they caused.

Since work from home started I needed a new dentist away from the city. I am very happy I found Newton Dentistry. Susan made me feel very comfortable in the chair and did a great job cleaning my teeth. Very friendly. We set up a dental plan going forward to take care of a couple of dental issues I've been putting off since covid began. I am very pleased to have found them close to home.

They are not entirely bad. If you are worried about the dentist I have been to worse places. However, I will not be returning. You are charged upon arrival for whatever services are to be completed that day. Which seems transparent right. I was only a patient at ND since April 2020 and the proximity of this office was something I could not pass up.
I went in for a cleaning paid $190 upon arrival which is how much the cleaning is. They looked at my teeth for 5 minutes and checked my X-rays that I have already previously paid for to decide I needed a deeper cleaning that would require a longer block of time to be available so I needed to reschedule. I did not receive a refund of any kind. $190 for 10 minutes of their time.
Not only was zero of the $190 put toward credit or toward anything. I was told I had to put a down payment to secure my next appointment. Scaling cleaning is much more expensive so I placed a $200 deposit. $390 was charged to my debit card with an email confirmation as well my bank statement confirming the amount charged. I go into my appointment the day of my new cleaning and I have a "$140 dollar credit".
They acknowledge they charged me $390 that day but Tracy at the front desk gives me some convoluted story trying to date all of my previous payments back to todays date coming up with some ridiculous math problem that made no sense. YOU PAY FOR YOUR SERVICES AS YOU RECEIVE THEM. this place basically robbed me. Unfortunate, Dr Jang seemed legit and specialist Annie was cool.

Wonderful staff and practitioners! Susan was tasked with cleaning my poor neglected teeth, she was very gentle and didn't rush me. She was kind and friendly. I found myself enjoying my normally traumatic deep cleaning session. Dr. Jang has very modern equipment and was able to show me on the tv screen what needs to be done in my mouth and she worked with Tracy in the office on a billing plan that works best with my insurance. I have several visits ahead of me so I will update.

I had never been to Dr Vanaria before but when I recently broke a tooth I was scrambling to find somewhere to fix it quickly and affordably. Tracy at the front desk was incredibly friendly and understanding on the phone and got me an appointment for the following morning. I didn't have to wait at all and the awesome staff put me completely at ease. Least terrifying dentist appointment I have every had. A++ would have tooth fixed there again

Everyone, If you have ever searched for the perfect dentist, search no further! I continue to find Dr. Vora (and the entire staff) a dream to work with. I had a previous dentist who put a very deep filling in and it ended up touching the nerve. I feel like most dentists would have jumped to a root canal because I was in so much pain, but she took the time in "nursing" my tooth back to normal.

I first checked out this dental office when visiting multiple locations for veneer consultations. On my initial visit Dr. Vora and her team did a very thorough consult on cosmetic options for me. They laid out the options ranging from a dramatic transformation to more conservative one more aligned with what I was originally thinking. They used photographs so I could better understand the proposals.
Even when I decided on a more conservative option of only two veneers, Dr. Vora was still as attentive and reassuring as I went through the various steps of the procedure. The whole team there is great; you won't be disappointed!
