I cant thank Dr Neal and her staff enough for the improved quality of life I now enjoy. Reason for treatment: Open Bite. Age when treatment began: 34. Like many people, I did not have braces as a kid and I developed a ever expanding open bite over the course of several decades. My Dentist (Shout out to Dr Pak over at Kirkland Smiles) had been encouraging me to seek out orthodontic treatment for years, and explained to me that if left unchecked, my back teeth would ultimately crack and deteriorate. Dr Neal was recommended by my dentist and I went in for a consultation.

She explained to me the process involved with correcting an open bite. Through the use of invisiline and in my case, surgery. I would have a corrected bite in several years. And thats exactly what happened. I was very uneasy about the idea of surgery. I wanted to avoid it, but it was necessary. Dr Neal started me on invisiline and had me rotating to a new set every week.

It took a little bit to get used to but ultimately it was very easy and straight forward. There was always a bit of mild discomfort in the first few days of switching to a new set of invisiline. But it was amazing to see how quickly teeth can shift. Dr Neal and her staff are simply awesome. They were always very friendly, professional, and always went out of they're way to make sure I was comfortable during a procedure.

After a year I was about halfway through my invisiline roadmap and it was time for surgery. Dr Neal sent me to "Neal, Leonard, and Sorensen" for consultation. A surgery was scheduled and despite my insecurities, I chose to move forward. I wanted to be able to eat food without discomfort. Best decision I made by far for my quality of life. On a early morning at UW Medicine (University of Washington) I received surgery.

The surgery took several hours and from my prism, was over in a second. Recovery from open bite surgery was not fun but doable for anyone, the immediate weeks following surgery required a regiment of medication, a liquid diet in the early days that would then expand in soft foods for a time. After I was back up and running from my surgery it was time to start the rest of my invisiline treatment which consisted of another year and some change of regular invisiline use. Recently, I have completed this journey, I now wear a retainer at night to maintain alignment.

Most importantly, I can now bite into food with confidence and comfort. I smile without hesitation and I cant describe in words how wonderful a feeling that is. My whole life there was discomfort in eating and I didnt even realize it. Chewing could be labored over as something as simple as a sandwhich. A clean bite was difficult to achieve, and I grew far too accustomed to the insecurities of eating in a group setting. No more :) Again, I cant recommend Dr Neal enough, hopefully this review was informative to help those seeking some insight. Best wishes and take care of those teeth.

What a great experience. The technology was incredible and made everything easy and fast. Super professional team. If you are looking for an orthodontist, I highly recommend Dr Neal.

I'm so glad I chose Dr Neal for my orthodontist, she and her staff are absolutely amazing! I can't believe I actually look forward to my appointments (mostly ). They are great about accommodating my schedule. Appointments are efficient but I never feel rushed. I am very happy with my experience and results so far.

Dr. Neal is an absolute miracle worker. After consulting multiple orthodontists for my (very difficult) case, I was told by all of them that there was no chance of fixing my teeth without painful, expensive and risky jaw extension surgery. I decided to give it one last try and see Dr. Neal. In 3 years, she gave me a perfect smile with only Invisalign, no surgery and minimal pain. Dr. Neal's impeccable quality of care saved me from invasive surgery with potential lifelong side effects. I am extremely grateful to the whole team for allowing me to smile confidently for the first time in 23 years! I can't recommend them enough!

So happy with Dr Neal and her staff. Decided to try invisalign while my daughter was getting them after years of not being happy with my crooked teeth. It was such a good decision! 1 year later and perfectly straight teeth and a more confident smile! Definitely recommend Dr Neal. Such a friendly and helpful office!

I absolutely love everybody at this office! My invisalign experience has been amazing, much different than my horrible experience with smile direct club. For anybody thinking about getting aligners to straighten their teeth, don't go with the cheap companies! My teeth were ruined by smile direct club and i had to do aligners all over again to fix my smile. I highly recommend Neal Smiles! Dr Neal and her team are amazing. She is always a top recommended provider when people ask for referrals. So much so when I finally see a post asking for recommendations she has already been named 10+ times and I make a joke did anyone recommend Dr Neal yet? As a busy single mom my life is always chaotic so I appreciate how easy it is to schedule appointments (via text) they send reminders and always communicate.

Today my son went in and surprise he didn't do what he was suppose to so he was behind treatment. Dr Neal and team went out of their way and fixed a problem that his dentist really should have handled. Even though she was busy she came in between appointments and fixed him up when she was under no obligation to do so. She talks to her patients with respect and kindness and even though my son didn't do his part she was still kind and explained why. Megan did the same thing and laid it out so he understood why it was a problem and why it's so important to fix. And she did it firmly but still was very sweet. Highly recommended her and her team for your ortho needs! Thank you guys so much!

We had our first appointment yesterday for my 6 year old who needs top and bottom expanders. The staff was super nice and kind to my girl. Dr. Neal was very attentive and also very sweet with my daughter. The appointment was not rushed and I also didn't feel like my time was waisted in waiting because everybody there is very efficient. I am a dental hygienist and I have been sending patients to Dr. Neal for years with nothing but positive results and happy clients, so I trust her and her staff 100% with my daughter's treatment needs. I will update this review once we start the treatment to provide further feedback.

Dr Neal has been amazing since I first met her for a free initial consultation two years ago. Not only did she devise the best and the quickest possible plan for me, but also urged me to stay on top of my general dental hygiene. My treatment went seamlessly and I cannot be happier with my results. Her staff is vigilant and meticulous. My appointments, virtual as well as in-person, went smoothly despite the pandemic. I will be recommending her 5/5!

I have LOVED my experience with Neal Smiles! When I went in, I wasn't really sure what I needed or what pricing would be like- I received a referral from my dentist but hadn't had orthodontia since childhood. The consultation was phenomenal, they explained what was going on with my teeth, concerns I had, and we were able to talk about potential payment options.

I ended up finding a great interest free payment option and was satisfied with the thorough breakdown I was given of the pricing and process. I just wrapped up my treatment after 18 months and actually loved going in for my appointments! It was always quick, clean, and easy and the staff were so smart and friendly. I loved chit chatting with them and could tell they cared about me. Dr. Neal is amazing.

She is friendly, professional, and a perfectionist, which I LOVED! I could tell she wasn't going to let me slack off on wearing my retainers or finishing my treatment and my teeth turned out perfectly because of her attention to detail. Parking is easy, tons of covid measures in place, and super easy communication and scheduling. I love this place!

I really wish I had gone with Clements Orthodontics instead of Neal Smiles. Scheduling was very hard. The front desk staff did not listen when I told them I am a single mother and teacher. I cannot get my child to the office at 11:20 am! You can offer me that time slot every.single.time but I can't do it. So then I'd have to wait an extra month or so for a manageable time. Also, they have a reward system where they give dollars for good hygiene, wearing their advertising t-shirt, etc but one of the criteria is "being awesome".

My child never got that as hard as she tried. Way to make kids feel awful! In fact, they took off her colored bands at one point because they said she wasn't keeping her teeth clean enough. Replaced with clear bands. She rededicated herself to brushing and flossing and did an amazing job. But the next appointment 8 weeks later, , they refused to put the fun colored bands back on even though they told her she was doing an amazing job.

They said she needed to prove it for another 8 weeks. She became very afraid to go back to the office that her hard work would not be good enough. They will also spam you constantly to vote for the office as best ortho on whatever the contest of the day is. That's just another way for them to gain money and customers. My friends all go to Karen Clements and I really wish I had also.

Awesome first visit. Fantastic helpful sincere professionals! Nothing was left out, transparent costs (which were considerably lower than I feared), superior skills. Really happy we found them.

I've had the privilege over the last couple of years to have had substantial work done on my face by Dr. Neal and her team and they really are the best. There have been times over my treatment when I have been frustrated with service, or been annoyed that office is closed on a day when I would like to reach them, but the response has always been professional and understanding from the people that work there as they have been more than accommodating for my busy schedule with regards to my treatment. That's a lot of words to say that I've had to reschedule more than I would like due to work and the office is understanding, but that's the case.

The office is clean, easy to find, and has plenty of parking. They open early and are often around till later in the day so that patients can find a time that works for them to visit. The finances, charges, etc, were all explained up front and I was given time to think on it before I had to make a decision. The staff was not pushy, and presented several different options for me to chose from.

As this was my second round of braces, I was given options that involved things other than Invisalign due to some challenges with my teeth even though I ultimately selected the Invisalign option. Dr. Neal is an excellent orthodontist for Kirkland residents.

RIP OFF! I had double insurance coverage and paid for my Invisalign up front, which is what they require at Neal Smiles. I also had to pay for my retainer before it even would be ordered. My two friends who were also doing Invisalign at the same time at two different orthodontists were both paying much less than I was, which I thought was unfortunate.

The service was OK, by the end of my care there they were remodeling the office and taking over another suite to expand. Now they are sending me a bill after it is all over for over $500! What a rip off! I already paid, and paid well, for everything! I wonder if they are expecting me to pitch in for their remodel expenses! Also I see in other reviews that Dr. Neal had rented a theater where they showed a new release movie, provided pizza and snacks and encouraged her patients to bring friends and family!

I THINK THIS IS WHAT I MIGHT BE PAYING FOR WITH THE INFLATED PRICES AND GETTING A BILL LONG AFTER PAYING AHEAD IN FULL! NOT HAPPY. **update: I see that see that there's a response that states M. Neil says that she tried to contact me. I don't see that She ever tried to contact me. The contact that I received from her office stated that my treatment was completed even though I never had my retainer fitting done.

So basically they were saying 'they' were done with me because I posted this review. The funny thing is I let the front office staff know that I was going to post a review before I did it and exactly why I was going to post a review and their front office staff said "OK that's fine!"-then after I'd done it I received several calls asking me to take down my review.

So I felt like basically they didn't want to deal with my issues when I wanted to deal with them but then they just dropped me as a client when I took to yelp. So now I'll have to start over with a new orthodontist if I ever have problems thanks a lot Neal smiles.

We love Dr. Neal-we send our patients here because she is very knowledgeable and takes tremendous care of them. Strongly recommend!

Michelle Neal and her team are FABULOUS! my daughter finished her orthodontic treatment and we are thrilled with the results! They are professional, kind and accommodating throughout the experience. My son has been a patient at this office for almost 4 years now. Dr. Neal's office is professional and knowledgeable. They have fun events outside of the office for their patients which we think is super! Pleased with every aspect of this office. My son adores the staff and always looks forward to his appointments.

I was extremely disappointed in the work that Dr. Neal did for my daughter's teeth. After completion of braces, headgear, rubberbands, etc. her teeth still aren't straight. Her bedside manners are poor and my daughter said she was the rudest doctor she has ever seen. After my dentist encouraged me to go back to have the teeth corrected, Dr. Neal said she's done!'. I would highly recommend looking for another orthodontist.

It was really scary getting braces as an adult, but Dr. Neal and her wonderful team took my fears away. From the high-tech yet inviting office to their welcoming demeanor, the process was as pleasant as possible and the outcome was fantastic. Now that I've had my Damon brackets removed and am in retainers for a bit, I am marveling at my smile.

The best part is that everything is lined up for the oral surgery and dental implants that I needed to be able to maintain my dental health for my lifetime. I will actually miss the terrific ladies that helped along the way and the professionalism and expertise of Dr. Neal. I recommend that any adult or child in need of orthodontic care pays this Kirkland gem a visit!

Dr. Neal and her staff did a great job with my braces. I moved to WA in the middle of the orthodontic treatment, and Dr. Neal's office stepped right in and brought me through the treatment. The desk staff and assistants are always cheerful and helpful, and they were flexible with appointment scheduling. Thank you Dr. Neal, and thanks to Sara, Shell, Stacy, and the rest of the staff!

If you are looking for true professionalism, exceptional customer service and beautiful teeth, Dr. Neal and her staff are the people to see. My daughter actually looks forward to going to the orthodontist because the office team is so fun and positive. As a parent, every communication I've shared with Dr. Neal's group has been efficient and pleasant. We are almost at the end of our treatment with them and we will truly miss them all, thanks so much for everything!

Dr Neal is a special lady who really cares about her patients. She explains everything to the child and their parent(s), and tells them each time how things are progressing and what to expect. You can tell she really loves children and is great with her adult patients as well. The staff is also very caring and they are always able to get you right in if a wire should happen to break or anything like that.

She offers points for the kids to save and earn towards a nice gift if they are taking good care of their teeth along the way. She makes it so they look forward to their visits there. We used an orthodontist previous to her, and the difference is just amazing, we are REALLY glad we made the change.
