This is the best dentistry practice hands down! The front office is professional, knowledgeable and will assist you with navigating your insurance. Jennifer, the dental hygienist is THE BEST! Jennifer was very thorough in doing my cleaning but made it painless, but was also very personable and provided great suggestions on how to better care for my teeth -- something I need to do after not having been to the dentist for so long! Dr Vanover is very professional and extracted a tooth for an implant.
He too was very thorough and patient in explaining why an implant instead of a crown. Everyone in this practice is an absolute A player and I appreciate the fine level of care for myself, my spouse and my Mom all of whom are also now patients here.

Dr. Vanover and his staff have given the best experience I've ever had with the dental industry. They have a knack for giving you peace of mind, while going over the needs to ensure great dental health. I recently lost a crown on a tooth that had a root canal performed by another dentist. Dr. Vanover told me the best option would be to have an implant. Dr. Vanover removed the tooth and placed an implant in one session lasting about an hour. My healing will take several months after which I will receive a tooth which should last a lifetime. My experience with Dr. Vanover's procedure was much superior in every respect to an implant I had received from another dentist. Dr. Vanover can perform the entire job as opposed to other dentists which must send you to an oral surgeon for several visits and then back to the dentist.
With Dr. Vanover I experienced little pain and no facial bruising which was very prominent with my former dentist and oral surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Vanover, his assistants and front office personnel.

After my first two recent visits at Vanover Dentistry, I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Now in my late seventies, I have seen my fair share of dentist over my lifetime. In comparison, this is hands down the clear winner. All of the staff, including Dr. Vanover, are warm, friendly and courteous. But thats not why people go to the dentist.
I can find many other places to go where the people are the same way, but are not holding my mouth open to work on my teeth. Lets be honest here; who really likes going to the dentist? But, when you do go, the warm and friendly is a plus, but its the skill and technology that makes the outcome worth the time and cost. This is where Vanover really shines.
All of his equipment and skill sets are what appear to be cutting edge, from the x-ray equipment to the specialized equipment that allows them to make a perfect crown in thirty minutes. Being retired from the Aerospace industry, I greatly appreciate technology and I was allowed to see how the making of my new crown was actually done. It's amazing, to say the least.

As to Dr. Vanover, he seems intensely focused on his position in providing the best dental care available. He seems to be succeeding in that effort. So, do you REALLY like to go to the dentist? On my first visit everyone was very kind and welcoming. Dr Vanover was amazing. I had broken a tooth and was there for a second opinion. He was very kind and spent time explaining my options and I am so thankful he did. He was able to fix the tooth without the oral surgery the first dentist recommended. I am pleased to say Dr Vanover is now my dentist!

After going to a Dentist that I never really liked, I decided to find a better Dentist for my family and I. The Jacksonville Magazine publishes an annual list of the Best Dentists in the area and Dr. Vanover was featured as one of best (and is consistently selected again year after year). I scheduled my first appointment many years ago and have been going back ever since (even after moving to St. Augustine). Dr. Vanover and his Staff are absolute professionals and always provide the highest level of care and treatment.
One thing that I really respect is that Dr. Vanover never tries to up-sell you anything. If he says you need a procedure, you can be reassured that you're getting exactly what you need. As another reviewer mentioned, Dr. Vanover's office performs same-day crowns. This is an amazing capability that saves you the inconvenience of needing a temporary crown and having to come back for a second appointment. You owe it to yourself to become a patient of Dr. Vanover, it's a decision that you'll be extremely glad you made.

It had been 3 years since I've been to see a dentist and Dr. Vanover was recommended to my wife and I by Tammy at Dr. Carvel's office. I must say that being a Dental Technician in the Navy for 3 years in the late 1970s dentistry sure has come a long ways. Dr. Vanover is an awesome dentist and his staff are number one. Yesterday I had a new crown on one of my molars and with the new technology that Dr. Vanover uses I was able to have the crown in the same day appointment.
The Dental Assistant Latasha did the scanning in about 15 minutes, no more nasty gooey impressions for this procedure. I was able to see how the porcelain crown was made in the high tech carving machine which only took 17 minutes to make. After that the process requires the porcelain crown be baked at 750 degrees for 15 minutes. I could go on praising this dentistry team, but will stop with this. The crown fits perfectly and feels very natural. Thank you Dr. Vanover and team for a very good experience at the dentist office.

Dr Vanover does great work. Dr. Vanover does not rush and he cares for his patients. The Office Staff and his Medical Staff are a Great Team. Everyone makes us feel comfortable. After Dental Procedures Dr Vanover will call and check on Cecil and I. Our hygienist Very gentle and will ask. Are you ok? Everyone Professional and Friendly. We are greeted with a Smile. The Office Staff does excellent on checking insurance benefits. I appreciate Dr. Vanover and his staff. If anyone needs a Great Dentist. We recommend Dr Michael Vanover.
