Services
A trip to the Dentist can be both exciting and scary to a child. We provide a bright, caring, and patient atmosphere for kids ages 1-20. We have lots of toys and books in our lobby area, as well as bright, sunny rooms with kid focused music, and decor to make your child's 1st - or 21st visit comfortable and educational.
Dr. Lucie, (as her patients affectionately refer to her) started Mansfield Pediatrics in 1998. She employs the philosophy that educating children about the importance of good dental hygiene begins at an early age. She encourages children and parents to develop and practice these skills. Kids can learn these skills and make them lifelong habits, and the atmosphere created in her office can help initiate those skills.
We are considered a participating provider for: Anthem, United Health Care, Delta Dental-Premier, Benicare-Premier & Plus Plans, Cigna-Dental PPO (previously Radius) State of CT employees - Enhanced and Basic, HUSKY A & B.
When should I take my child to the dentist for the first check-up? In order to prevent dental problems, your child should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday. What should I use to clean my baby's teeth? A toothbrush will remove plaque bacteria that can lead to decay.

I was told I could not sit with my minor child in the room I had to wait in the waiting room with her sister in the waiting room. Then they proceed to put my 6 year old in the waiting room alone while I'm with my 4 year old getting her teeth done. Other children are in here alone while there parents are in there cars in the parking lot. I except able to be alone in a room with a minor child! I hovered outside the door the whole time! We will be transferring! They also need some renovating done the place doesn't look like it's been updated or cleaned in a while

Do not recommend! We have been going to Mansfield pediatric density all thru covid. Not one issue. Today I was told I was not allowed to be in the room with my 8 year old daughter! Absolutely absurd. Yet two weeks ago my husband was allowed to go in with our son. The way I was treated was not kind at all, I understand protocols but pretty sure you are allowed to be in a room with your minor child. My daughter was completely horrified. I just stay away from these guys.

After being referred by another dentist, we called and booked an appointment here at Mansfield Pediatric dentistry as it's the closest to us. I had to leave work early and pick my son up early from school of course. We get there early and they give us paper work to sign and we give it in and wait. Dr. Lucie Wu-Scigliano comes out and started asking questions about my insurance and billing stuff.

We have active insurance btw! She then asked why was I back since I use to bring my kids there and stopped bringing them. Which I was only back because we was referred for this certain situation. I wasn't aware I could not change dentist! Then she said that if she wasn't good enough before then how is she good enough now?! I said My 5 year old is in pain and We was referred here for this certain situation.

We booked an appointment. I don't understand the issue and She said I can't help him. Tell him to refer you to someone else! SMH total waste of money and time and my poor baby need to wait for another referral and appointment. This is just unbelievable! And NOT Okayy!

I'm not sure how long ago the rest of these reviews are but we went today and six months ago with a two-year-old and they were great! Super clean friendly office. The dentist worked very fast to get us in and out with a cleaning in about 15 minutes. They also give stickers and a balloon so all smiles when you leave

0 stars. dentist was rude to my special needs son. Showed no respect. my sons has some issues she didn't seem to accommodate for just forced tools in his mouth and if screamed or cried she didn't care. what a inconsiderate beep. lady needs to not work with kids with that attitude.

This is probably the most horrible care provider in the entire country. The doctor is very rude. She yelled at me for serving nutella-bread for my son's breakfast! She gave me a long lecture about flossing. My child was quite terrified even though she was nice with him, at least. We never went there again.

This dentist office is horrible. The dr was extremely rude. She tried kicking me out into the waiting room when my daughter was already scared. When I refused she got mad and started questioning why I made an appt for my daughter when my son wasn't in school. Mind You he goes to afternoon pre-k. Then because my daughter ate a banana before her appt she said she wouldn't do her fillings and made us leave. Definitely shouldn't be working with children!

My child was yelled at! Because she was upset! And there was a lot of bleeding! We brush her teeth 2x a day and never ever any bleeding and there was a lot of blood! I will be finding a new dentist!

Keep your kids away from this place. They are rude and very unprofessional. I was referred by generations because my son had an abscess so she gives us an appointment for a cleaning the next day & then gives us another appointment for the abscess to be drained days later, when we get there for the abscess to be drained, she refused to see my son. I ended up taking him to the ER.

She was very rude to me and my husband. I was in tears because I couldn't believe we were being treated this way &I couldn't understand why she gave us n appointment for a cleaning when we specifically came for the drainage. Many people have had bad experiences with this dentist please report her & if you haven't been there STAY AWAY
