I had a cleaning and first appointment a couple months ago. Everyone was very nice and the cleaning was not uncomfortable; however, I was told once the dentist came in that I had needed 5 fillings (at age 26 I'd only every needed one before). I was so embarrassed and scheduled them right away. Once home I decided to get another opinion and was checked by another local dentist. This dentist told me I only had 3 small cavities. I am appalled that an office would take advantage of a patient like that, and I will now be under a new doctor's care.

My experience with Maine Family Dentist was excellent. The receptionists were friendly and very attentive. As a new patient I was able to fill out all necessary forms right on the website, which I highly recommend. I was called back w/I a matter of minuets. Each procedure was explained and I knew exactly what was taking place before it happened. The dental assistant who worked on me was friendly and very professional. One of the nicest offices I have been to.

Staff is very friendly! They don't criticize you on the condition of your teeth they try to help you improve the quality of your teeth. If you are not a dentist fan this is the place to come they make you feel relaxed and that you have the ability to stop if needed. I would and do recommend them to anybody who is looking for a great dentist that is caring, friendly and good at there job.

Nicole and Dr. Buxton are great. Very friendly, flexible, funny, and relaxing. They will create a treatment plan that makes sense, not just the most expensive. The staff will work with you to schedule convenient appointments. They know you by name from the moment you walk in. They are genuinely concerned about their patients and get to know them. The entire staff alleviated my fears, made me feel comfortable, and provided excellent treatment. I actually look forward to going back. I can't say enough good things about this office. Highly recommended

My husband and I really like Maine Family Dental. They are friendly from the front desk to hygienist and Dr Buxton too. They care about you being completely comfortable and strive for pain free dental work. This is the best dentist office we have been too. Nobody like the dentist but I truly have anxiety about dental work they make me feel relaxed with nothing to worry about while they are working on your teeth.

Something that Management at this practice is doing is very right! When you walk into the place, everyone welcomes you! Wow! Everyone from the receptionist to the dental assistants is concerned about you and chats with you to make you feel relaxed and assured you that you are in great hands. Dr. Buxton is very good and he is very gentle too. I highly recommend Maine Family Dental Practice if you are looking for friendly, caring, polite, friendly, clean and professional help for your dental needs!

I have been a patient for 20 years and can't say enough nice things about this practice. Everyone is so nice from the clerical staff who handle billing and schedules to hygienist and doctors. They are very good about monitoring your dental benefits and financing for my two children braces. They are like family members asking to see pictures of the new granddaughter.
I see them once every six months and it is like we talk daily. The hygienist are very supportive due to my gag reflex. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have always referred both friends and my employees. Thank you for the opportunity to write this review.

I absolutely love Maine Family Dental! Dr. Buxton and his staff are so knowledgable, compassionate, and welcoming. They steer you in the right direction, and make you feel completely comfortable. I currently have clear correct to straighten my teeth, and whenever someone asks me where I've gone through for this process, I always HIGHLY recommend this practice! I couldn't have picked a more wonderful place that treats you like family.

Maine Family Dental is the best! I became a patient a couple of years ago when I had broken a tooth in the middle of the day and they were the only practice (including my former dentist) who would even consider seeing me on short notice. They were so friendly and helpful, they got me right in and my tooth was fixed that afternoon. I'm so glad to have found them!
I have been back many times since then, for everything from regular cleanings to a dental implant, and I have received wonderful service each and every time. The staff is awesome, they know you by name and always greet you and make you feel welcome and comfortable. By far the best experience I have ever had with a dentist!
