After reading other Yelp reviews about several dentists, I decided to see Dr. Lu. Not having dental insurance, I liked her cash prices. More impressive was her attitude of embracing technology so that everything was efficient, painless and in less time. She concurred with my previous dentist that an implant would be needed but the price was significantly less.

I broke a piece off a molar and need to see Dr. Lu a week after my cleaning and this was painless and a crown put on a week later. I called her Wonder Woman because she was the best dentist I have ever had. I wouldn't call her chatty but she explains her opinions and recommendations. Staff is friendly and appointments start on time.

I can't recommend Dr Lu enough. She is great, gentle and make sure that you are comfortable during any procedures. I'm so glad that I found her, all my appointments I was seen on time. She takes her time to explain everything that needs to be done. I had cleaning, fillings and crown done by her and Im really happy with the results. Her receptionist is amazing too. Highly recommend Dr Lu, my sister and husband are now going to her too.

Dr. Lu is amazing. So nice and comforting. I was really nervous switching to a new dentist for the first time in 16 years. She was really thoughtful, thorough, and attentive. I made a teeth cleaning appointment for myself and my two kids. They were nervous as well. My son is 14 and had only ever had the same dentist so he wasn't sure what to expect with someone new. She had him laughing and comfortable in no time. We all agreed, we are lucky we found her!

Dr. Lu is an amazing dentist. Wonderful with children and adults. We have been going to Dr. Lu for the last 10 years. She has an excellent staff also amazing space for all your dental needs. She has the state of the art equipment.

I have seen quite few dentists in my adult life and have never kept a dentist more than a year. I have stayed with Dr. Lu for the longest (easily over 3 years) and it's a testament to how much I appreciate her level of professionalism and skill with taking care of my teeth. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a dentist who actually cares about your teeth!

Dr Lu is amazing! I have been a patient of Dr Lu's for years and I must say that she is the best Dentist I have ever had. She is very dedicated to her profession. She is diligent, knowledgeable, and very efficient. I must say that her best quality is how much she cares. She constantly asks if your doing ok. Even if it's a routine check up! Let's face it, it's very difficult for so many of us to go to the dentist, because a lot of us find it scary. But Dr Lu takes the fear away and handles everything with such ease and attention. Seven years ago, my front tooth veneer came off! Imagine what a nightmare that was for me--talking to people with a missing front tooth! I was very fortunate to have found Dr. Lu then as an emergency patient. She immediately re-arranged her schedule that morning just to help me with my nightmare. I was so grateful that she was able to give me a temporary veneer that day and ordered a permanent one couple weeks later.

It was time again to replace my front veneer 2 weeks ago. Dr. Lu took the time to explain my options. As expected, the process went very smoothly. While I was waiting for the permanent ones, Dr. Lu fitted me a temporary one. Even the temporary one looked really good. When the permanent ones (now one veneer and one crown) arrived, the staff quickly called me and scheduled me to be fitted.

I had the veneer and crown fitted 3 days ago and they look amazing! I couldn't tell the veneer and crown apart from my real teeth. They feel comfortable also. Definitely 5 stars (and 2 thumbs up) for Dr Lu's expertise and technique, products, and friendly staff service. Thank you again! Fast forward to 2018-- happy to be visit Dr Lu's new facility! State of the art equipment and as usual very accommodating staff and doctor. Highly recommend!

I've been a patient with Dr. Pauline Lu for over 5 years now and I've been consistently happy with her work, here's why: - Pauline truly cares about my health and has always recommended services with my best interest in mind. She does an excellent job of explaining the pros and cons of each of my treatment options, and gives me time to consider what I want to do. - Unlike other dentist's I've had in the past, she does the cleaning herself instead of only coming in at the end of the visit.

This way she not only spends more time with me, but more importantly gets a first hand understanding of my teeth and gums. She's highly detail oriented and double checks to make sure nothing was missed. - Pauline's new facility features top of the line equipment to ensure the best care and she creates a comfortable environment for her patients.

She always asks if I'm comfortable and adjusts if (in the rare case) something could be moved. - I always schedule a follow-up appointment at the end of each visit for 6 mo later. It's extremely easy to adjust the time by phone or email as the date approaches. - Pauline also has an amazing referral program. Both you and your referred friend get a thank you gift! I highly recommend Dr. Pauline Lu for all your oral health care needs!

It could be very difficult for consumers to evaluate healthcare provider, because we just don't have the special knowledge to know. That's why a lot reviews on dentists only talking about how easy to make appointment, how long the wait, and how clean the office is. For this regard, I say simply Dr. Lu's office exceeds all my expectations.

But the most important evaluation I want to provide is based on my own dental health. I had my fair share of tooth problems growing up. After seeing Dr. Lu for about three years now, however, it seems I simply have a different set of teeth, the healthy one. During the first year of my seeing Dr. Lu, with her careful examination, Dr. Lu identified the decays of my old crown, old fillings, and tooth grinding at night.

With numerous repair, replacement, and routine maintenance, I haven't experience any problem in the past one and half years! Not only that, all the dental work was done painlessly, my mouth was back to normal function soon afterwards. Dr. Lu seems just to know exactly what needs to be done and did it so efficiently. I feel fortunate and really appreciate Dr. Lu's care. Highly recommend.

I was in town on business. While eating a salad, I broke a tooth on a piece of an olive pit. I googled "emergency dentists" and saw Dr. Lu. I called and she said "My staff is at lunch, but come in as soon as you can". Dr. Lu took a look and put a temporary filling in to hold me over until I could get to my regular dentist back home. Dr. Lu was compassionate, understanding, and very professional. If you need a dentist, Dr. Lu is worth a visit. She's great.

Best dentist I've had in a long while! Ria and Dr. Lu were nothing but courteous and professional. Dr. Lu was super patient and explained everything in advance to me. She also really took the time with my questions and gave very honest opinions. I can't be happier with the result. And would highly recommend anyone to have her as a dentist.

I went to Dr. Lu for the first time yesterday. My previous dentist was very good, but every time they charged too much and I had to call them and correct the bill (happened three times). Dr. Lu and her staff (Rea) try to get the best out of pocket price for me and a detailed explanation of the bill. I was able to get an appointment within an hour of when I called and there was no wait time. She did cleaning and some fillings in very short time and I am very pleased with the result. Both Dr. Lu and Rea are very caring and very friendly.

Dr. Lu is one of those rare dentists that actually works for the patient. My previous dentist, and many others unfortunately, think about their clinic like a business. They want to make as much money as possible. The patient comes second. I've been a patient of Dr. Lu for 3 years. She is fantastic. She does everything herself. She takes the time to explain and is very patient.

She never pushed a procedure on me, not even when I was the one suggesting it. Her approach is to seek the best of the client, not the best of her pocket. She spent hours reviewing and perfecting my Invisalign, unlike most dentists who simply accept what the software decides. She also takes notes of sensitive areas in my mouth, so when she cleans up my teeth, she is extra careful around those areas.

This is what separates the pro from the rest. Her clinic is in an older building, but she has very modern equipment. She is so sterile that she covers her equipment with special plastic covers. Those are removed before using the equipment, and disposed. She replaces them after each use. I've never seen any dentist do that. Her receptionist is the same: kind, perfectionist, and customer facing.

Dr. Lu is gentle, efficient, and she gets straight to the point. Plus they actually use email, which is fantastic for my busy and hectic life!

I would highly recommend the services provided by Dr. Lu and her staff(Rea & Evelyn). Even though I was running late for my appointment, I didn't feel rushed by the staff or Dr. Lu throughout the time I was there. Evelyn, Dr Lu's dental assistant, was actually feeling a little under the weather that day, but still she showed utmost dedication and professionalism which is really commendable. Rea, Dr. Lu's secretary, was very polite and professional as well.

She explained the paperwork to me very well. Now coming to Dr. Lu, she was very patient in listening to everything I had to say, is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to me very well. She did a great job with cleaning and performed them with utmost care and precision. All in all, it was a great experience as I was smiling when I left the office. From now on, Dr. Lu is going to be my go-to dentist.

If you are looking for a dentist in the Silicon Valley, you found the perfect one! I came across Dr. Lu via Yelp years ago, and have not regretted my decision since. She is one of the friendliest and least aggressive dentists I have ever been to. The cleanings are always non-painful and quick. The staff is super friendly and willing to work with me and my schedule.

Even though I don't live close to her office (especially in morning traffic), I still make the trip out to her because I feel like its worth it. If you need a dentist, I highly recommend going to Dr. Lu. You won't be disappointed!

Dr. Lu has been my dentist for 3 years. Had a wisdom tooth extracted and dental cleaning several times. Experience has been great so far. Dental cleaning is comfortable, and the tips Dr. Lu tells me each time helps me protect my teeth. I have moved far from Santa Clara but I still come back. Thank you Dr. Lu.

I have visited this office for a teeth cleaning and tooth extraction. Dr Lu is so patient, kind and warm. I hate going to the dentist--I get major anxiety and my nervousness shows. But Dr Lu was aware of my nerves and made my experiences as painless as possible. I feel as though i am in good hands in this office. The secretary and dental assistant are equally wonderful. I am so glad to have found her and will continue visiting Dr Lu for all my dental needs!

For the occasionally impatient person like myself, time is a virtue. Fortunately, this office is able to run operations very quickly and efficiently. I called the office and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Nice! Unlike some private practices, my appointment began exactly at the time it was scheduled. Zero wait time! Dr. Lu was extremely friendly and helpful.

She offered to provide a quick cosmetic fix (nothing major) on my front tooth at no extra charge. She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed (but at the same time, didn't take a long time or operate slowly). Really nothing to dislike or critique here. I've been a patient at Dr. Lu's for several years now. I've had a lot of work done by her, and she's always done a great job. Her cleanings are also the gentlest cleanings I've ever had. The office is friendly, people know your name and face, and I like how Dr. Lu does not recommend procedures that she doesn't think are necessary. You definitely don't get the feeling that you're being scammed (which is not the case at the previous dental establishment I was at).

It's totally a NIGHTMARE have Dr Lu as my dentist! Never come, stay as far as you can to protect your teeth! Bad technique ruined my good teeth, made me can't bite things in the whole left side. Can't believe I always trust her, and let her do the treatment for three times, each made me feel worse and worse! When I can't stand any more, wanna change to other dentist, she sent me a fake incomplete treatment history!

More worse, when I call back, she even said it's me get wrong! GOD knows! They are my teeth! How is it possible for patient to get wrong the part under surgery?! This is the MOST DISGUSTING! How can a dentist a doctor try to cover up the truth?!

I've been seeing Dr. Lu for about 3 years now and couldn't be happier! Dr Lu's staff is friendly and extremely organized, they are great at reminding me of my appointments. Dr. Lu is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients. I have had bad experiences with dentists before who recommend expensive treatments that turn out to be unneeded. Dr. Lu is extremely trustworthy and only recommends necessary treatments and for this reason, I will continue to see her as long as I live in the Bay Area. If you are looking for a dentist - I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lu!

A great and comfortable environment for all ages. Dr Lu's staff is great at reminding me of my appointments. Dr. Lu is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares for the health of our teeth. She's not the type to recommend a procedure unless you really need it. I also don't get nervous going because she is gentle on my gums unlike some other dentists I've gone to (who actually numbed my gums before cleaning). Going to the dentist is not scary anymore.

Especially for children. I've never seen and unhappy kid there. Most of them are either happily sitting in the waiting room watching a cartoon movie or calmly getting their cleaning. I think the little stuffed animals hanging over the ceiling help calm the little patients too. Describing Dr Lu's office reminds me of the cheers theme "where everyone knows your name" I'd recommend her to all my friends!

Dr. Lu is amazing. She is caring and genuine. She did Invisalign treatment for me and I got a wonderful smile. She is straightforward, yet polite. I really appreciate her work. She makes you really comfortable unlike other dentists. I refer her to all my friends.

Dr. Lu & Staff are great! They make you feel conmortable right when you walk in the door. Staff talk to you as if they are your friend instead of just telling you what they are planning to do for your appointment. They actually take the time and converse with you asking how are you, where your originally from, and you jusy want to continue talking forgetting your sitting in a dental chair.

The staff lets you know every move they make instead of wondering what they are doing next. Dr. Lu comes and puts the chair back and you see on the ceiling is cute little stufffed animals to greet you and make you feel comfortable and I automatically smile. Dr. Lu introduces herself with great manner. She does an exam and gives you a full description of what needs to be done, estimation of the cost and the steps to fulfill the treatment. Overall, she is a great childrens and family dentist. TVs to watch movies for the kids and maybe adults also.
