I am Dr. Lenny Kundel, a proud 1999 graduate of Tufts University School of Dentistry. Following a year of residency at Montefiore Hospital and several associateships, I have established private practices in Stamford, Connecticut and New York City. My motto is "Your mouth is connected to your body and so it should be treated as such."
Fillings, crowns, implants, bridges, and dentures are what we use to restore missing and broken teeth. It is important to remember that dentistry affects general health. Materials and techniques used need to be selected thoughtfully keeping in mind a person's physiological makeup. Ideally, dentistry should be gentle and minimally invasive.
A multitude of symptoms falls under the category of TMD (jaw joint disorder ). Dr. Kundel has experienced the gamut of feelings, sensations, and treatments himself. Various appliances were used to alleviate discomfort. Dr. Kundel possesses the needed expertise and experience to deliver proper diagnosis and treatment which is crucial in alleviating the pain and discomfort caused by the disorder.
We understand how important it is to help fearful patients receive the care they both need and want by first treating their anxiety and then their teeth. That is why we offer sedation dentistry to help you feel relaxed. Sedation dentistry is also called sleep dentistry. You will not actually be asleep, but when we provide you with sedation, you will feel sleepy, comfortable, and pain free during treatment.

I've only had my first appointment with Dr. Kundel, but I am already blown away by him and his team. In the multiple calls I had leading up to my consultation, I had such a genuinely kind, helpful, and thorough experience with Lena and the other office staff. My visit with Dr. Kundel was no different. He listened thoughtfully, was thorough in the questions he asked, and clear in his thoughts on treatment.
It is the first truly positive dentist experience I've had in my whole life and the first time someone really considered the root cause of the issues I was having. It is clear that Dr. Kundel and his team are on the cutting edge of dentistry and the connection of the mouth to the whole body but also on the cutting edge of kindness. I look forward to working with them more!

I found Dr Kundel when I went looking for a second opinion to fill a cavity (I was seeking out a less toxic alternative to traditional composite materials). I cannot say enough wonderful things about the "miracle" experience I received in his office! I was able to avoid a filling entirely by getting dab of silver diamine fluoride applied to my tooth!
The whole process took about 10 minutes from start to finish, was entirely painless, and extremely affordable. Dr Kundel and his staff were so kind, helpful, and so efficient. I am so grateful to have found this dentist.

We are a big family, and both my father and father in law are dentists so we come from strong dental backgrounds: there is no one we trust like Dr Kundel. He has alleviated my wife's chronic jaw pain and inability to chew. He has prevented years of dental work for our 6 kids. There is no one better than Lena, Juliana, and Anne, & Dr Kundel.

Dr. Kundel is professional, friendly, and highly capable. He has an easy chair-side manner that is straightforward and direct. He performs all the work himself-evaluation, cleaning, x-rays, repairs-with a deft skill and a gentle touch. Dr. Kundel strikes me as a practical dentist; he quickly identified a dental issue of which I was aware, and came up with a reasonable plan of action, without going in search for other problems that may or may not even exist or matter.
I think of this as a conservative approach to dentistry, an approach I appreciate and value. I previously enjoyed a years-long relationship with a similarly personal and conservative dentist in Manhattan who retired not long ago. After a couple years with a more typical modern practice here in Fairfield County (involving lots of dental technicians, too much unnecessary work, and a revolving door of office staff), I was recommended to Dr. Kundel, whose approach I find familiar and reassuring. I welcome the change, and I look forward to many future visits and as few procedures as are appropriate and reasonable!

Dr. Kundel is amazing! Our whole family has switched to his practice since we moved from NYC and so happy he works so wonderfully with kids! Our both young sons have had incredible experience with Dr. Kundel. He really has a way with kids- very calm, patient, gentle, very knowledgeable, and with a sense of humor! Appreciate the fact that he is on the holistic side & provides fillings with safe ingredients; no unnecessary toxic fluoride treatments unlike proposed to kids by most general dentists. Dr. Kundel detected slight issue w my son's jaw alignment & explained thoroughly how improper jaw alignment affects a child's airways, sleep, posture & overall development.
It was so reassuring to know he specializes in this field & possesses knowledge on how to treat/ correct such issues! In addition, he safely removed couple of my mercury fillings & really can't say enough great things about his work. He works efficiently & in a very gentle way. Highly recommend!
